My Galanz microwave WP800AP20-6 is beeping for no reason, buttons will not work and microwave will not function. When I randomly hold STOP/RESET START/MINUTE PLUS, EXPRESS, and CLOCK buttons sequential in random orders suddenly te number buttons work and sometimes I can enter multiple numbers others only one. At this point the microwave automatically powers on and runs for the amount of time. Puzzled!!!

Same problem here. Bought the microwave in 2008 and it started doing this last night. Was able to get it function again by randomly punching buttons. Probably a bad microcontroller, it would probably cost more to replace the controller than the microwave's worth.

Mine was doing the same thing and all I did to fix it was hold down the stop/reset button until it beeped and it worked. Apparently the "LOCK" was on due to that button being held in too long. It still beeps, but it cooks the food,

How do i turn off the sound on a Hamilton Beach HB-P90D23AP-T3B microwave

To mute your microwave, start by checking the control panel. Look closely. The mute function may be labeled as a secondary function of one of the standard buttons. Check these things first:
  • Look for a Sound button. Seriously. It may have been there all along, begging you to press it.
  • Press and hold either 1 or 0. Sometimes manufacturers give these keys hidden, secondary functions.
  • Press and hold the Stop or Cancel button. Like 1 or 0, this key might have a hidden function when held.
Often, pressing and holding 1, 0, Stop or Cancel will either result in turning off the beeping sounds or activating a child lock feature. (Child lock doesn't actually lock the door, but instead locks the control panel so no buttons can be pressed until the lock is removed by holding the button for around three seconds again.)
If none of these work, it's probably best to consult the manual. Even if you don't have a Sound button, there is no Mute function denoted as a secondary function or holding a button doesn't do anything, there is still a chance a mute function exists. It could be a button combination or, like on some microwaves, be buried in a submenu that's not at all obvious how to activate.

If you've tossed the owner's manual to your microwave, check the manufacturer's website. They will often provide a digital version of the manual as a PDF for more recent models. For an older model, you may need to do some digging, but a great start is to just do a Google search for "[microwave brand and model number] manual."
Once you have the PDF version of the manual, press Ctrl + F on Windows or Command + F on Mac to search the PDF for "mute," "sound" or "beep."

Good luck.

Microwave won't turn on and beeps flashing numbers

Some newer microwave models will not function UNTIL you set the CLOCK Function ... ok
There should be instructions in your microwave MANUAL to tell you how to do this; as it can vary widely between different brands and models.

Hi there, I've just moved into a new apartment and the Samsung Timesaver microwave seemed to be working fine yesterday, but it has been beeping at odd times for no reason. I turned the power off to stop...

Hi, this is usually a bad touchpad. The way to tell for sure is to kill power to the unit, take the control panel down and unplug the ribbon connector that connects touchpanel to the clock. Put it back together and reapply power. The clock will just sit there blinking and, obviously, the buttons won't work, either. if the beeping stops, then the touch panel is bad. And If it still beeps, then you have a bad clock.

I have the problem of my galanz microwave "beeping" turning off and on automatically.???

Try holding down the stop/reset button until it beeps. If this does not stop it from turning on/off automatically then you may have a loose connection in the wiring between the inverter, magnetron, and/or control board, or one of those components have failed. Because of the lethal voltages used and produced with inverters, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person repair it.

Galanz Microwave Oven - Unable to disable child lock

Galanz's website seems to be useless. I tried finding information but kept being told "no data available." So while I can't tell you where to find the manual, here's something to try. Most microwaves get put into lock by pressing and holding one of the buttons for longer than normal, or by pressing one of the buttons several times in a row. Some ovens use the TIMER button. It won't be one of the number keys, but one of the function buttons. So start with a button, press and hold it for at least 5 seconds before you let go. If nothing happens then try another button. If that doesn't solve the problem, then try pressing each function key several times before moving on to the next one. If that still doesn't get it going, maybe a store in your area that sells Galanz will take a look at the book for you. The process should be the same for any similar model.

Frozen Display

It may be that the internal firmware has become corrupt, or there is a fault on the main processor board, or with some other area that is effecting the system processor, and thus the system is not able to function properly.

Call the service rep for your microwave oven and bring it in for an estimate.
