Try to go into safe mode by pressing F8 as soon as you turn on the laptop.

If you get into safe mode then go into system restore and choose a date when the laptop was working properly. Let it rollback to that date and reboot the computer and let it go and see if it goes back into windows.

If you get a blue screen even when trying to go into windows then the operating system is corrupted and you'll need to do a factory restore on the laptop, meaning the hard drive would have to be wiped out and the operating system put back onto the hard drive.

    9 year late , really?
the OP runs XP and is infected, 99% chance.
XP is 100% hopeless, if you run XP this blue screen is the least of your PCs problems.

My Lenovo SL500 laptop won't start up! When I turn it on, it runs perfectly until right after the Microsoft loading screen, when a blue screen with an error message pops up for 1/2 a second and then the...

hit the f8 key several times while it is rebooting and go the screen that allows you boot to windows, boot to last know good confifguration, boot to safe mode, etc... screen. On this menu you will find a selection that will allow you to stop the blue screen on the error. The error will tell you what the problem is. However from previous experience I can tell you that more than likely you will have to reinstall Windows. If you haven't backed up your data and need to recover it, It might be a good idea to setup the disk as an external drive or secondary (slave) drive on another computer, copy your data to a flashdisk or other backup device, reinstall your hdd as master/primary drive, boot to cd and reinstall windows. Have fun, let me know how it goes.

I have a Lenovo x60 Tablet Computer and when the computer screen moves the mouse starts stuttering and the t messes up when typing.. also a blue screen comes up sometimes.

sounds like a loose lcd connector, or pinched cable.
the lcd connector is under the keyboard. remove the panel that has the power button on it, it should just pop off from one side to the other. the remove the 2 to 3 screws located at topof keyboard, plus remove 2 to 3 screws under laptop located in holesmarked with a big K maybe even circled. with keyboard out of way you will see the lcd cable connector, it should have a "paperclip" handle, pull it up then reseat the connector, reassemble and test.

Lenovo X60 laptop display has stopped working

The backlight is broken. These are small flourescent tube lights about the width of a pencil lead. You dropped the laptop and the bulb broke. It will have to be replaced. The driver has nothing to do with your problem, reinstalling it will not get your picture back.

Ibm thinkpad tablet won't boot, says insert set up cd rom which i no longer have

Hi, During the boot at the THINKPAD SCREEN press the Thinkvantage key ( Blue button ) it will launch rescue and recovery and allow you to reboot factory. This only works if you did not corrupted/deleted the rescue and recovery hidden partition on the HDD. Otherwise you will need the rescue and recovery CD to proceed. IBM/Lenovo support should be able to provide you the CD. thanks and have a nice day J-
