Hi, I have the same problem, the screen flickers and loads for a few seconds then fails, repeatedly pressing the button has worked up until now, however, I think today it has finally died :-( are the capacitors easy to fit or will I need to get someone to do this for me.
Hi guys I've got XA7-19i 900p and I had the same problem But I've got it repaired myself. This is common issue and problem is in the power supply unit. I have changed 6 capacitors 470uF 25v and 1 capacitor 220uF 25v. It will definitely help! Try to google it you will find instruction how to do it.
I think you need an expert for that to do technical job, It might be the filter capacitors need replacement or some of the parts need re-soldering, the other possible cause is the florescent (back lights) high voltage transformer/driver.
Testimonial: "Thanks, that was really useful... I've had no luck with screens, or my mac! so I'll have to get someone to do it... meanwhile I cry into my breakfast!"

Hello collensdrea,
Welcome to FixYa.com!
Sorry to hear what's happening to your laptop. I would lke to ask you to follow a few steps to check and see if this is a faulty display or not. Please follow the following steps:
1. Turn the laptop off
2. Unplug the AC adapter (if connected) and remove the battery
3. Press & hold the power button for 40 seconds w/o the battery installed or the AC adapter plugged in
4. Let go of the power button, reconnect the AC adapter and put the battery aside for the meantime
5. Turn the laptop on by pressing the power button and the second you turn the laptop on, tap F2 several times to load the laptop's BIOS.
What is a BIOS? This is a special screen that let's you make changes to your laptop's motherboard. Please do not wander around as it may cause the more problems if you are not sure of what you are doing.
The reason why we went here is to see if we can still recreate the same issue i.e. the screen rolls & flickers.
If it still rolls & flickers, I'm afraid you need to contact Acer to have your computer sent to Depot or serviced.

Power off the printer using the power switch located on the front, right side of the machine under the Control Panel.
Wait until the Touch Screen becomes blank.
Press the power switch again to power on the printer. The entire power on process (to power on and complete a self test) takes less than 45 seconds. Certain functions of the printer, such as copying, will be available before other functions.
If this fails to solve your issue contact service.
Hope it helps!
The H3 code is a fuser high temperature code.. First fix is to power down and let the machine cool down..
Failing that, I couldn't find a clearance method for that particular machine but most of the machines in this category had the same control panels for years so it might work.
This is for an XC811 machine, same family, so it might work. If any of the controls mentioned are not on your machine then you need to contact the helpdesk if it still exists or a local copier repair place who should know how to clear the codes.
"To enter diagnostics: Turn on the power and within 4 seconds press the
following sequence: ‘Clear’, ‘Exposure Mode’, ‘Clear’, ‘Exposure Mode’
(Exposure Mode is the button on the far left). The console will go
completely blank.
To enter a code: Select the first part of the
code using the copy quantity buttons, followed by the ‘Print’ button,
then the second part of the code followed by the ‘Print’ button again.
To exit diagnostics: Press ‘Clear’ repeatedly or turn the power off.
*To clear a fuser code:(14) Enter diagnostics, select ‘14’ followed by ‘Print’… exit diagnostics.
H3 stands for high temperature at the fuser."
If it persists then you have a fuser fault that will probably need to be replaced. And as I said, this is not specifically for your machine but the clearance codes for Xerox machines tend to be similar.
Performing a Fault Reset 14 will reset your copier and will help to clear error codes.
Turn the power off.
Locate the Clear Button, which is grey in color, in the upper right corner above the green Start Button.
Locate the Auto Button the lower left corner of the Control Panel.
Turn the power back on.
Press
the buttons in the following sequence, releasing each button after each
time you press it: [Clear], [Auto], [Clear], [Auto]. Every light on the
Control Panel should go out, and the error code should clear.
If the error code has not cleared, wait a few seconds then repeat Steps 1 through 5.
Program the copier as if you were going to make 14 copies.
Press the green [Start] button to store the reset code. The copier will return to the ready position.
