Older JVC VHS model VP 782 U/UC will not load a VHS cassette

If your JVC VHS model VP 782 U/UC is not loading VHS cassettes, there could be a few possible causes. Here are a few things you can try: Check the tape: Make sure the VHS cassette is not damaged, dirty, or warped. Clean the tape heads and tape path with a VHS head cleaner if necessary. Check the loading mechanism: Make sure the loading mechanism is free of debris or obstructions. Open the VHS deck and visually inspect the loading mechanism for any visible issues. Check the drive belt: Over time, the rubber drive belt that pulls the tape through the VHS deck can become worn or loose. Open the deck and check the drive belt for any signs of wear or slack. If the belt is loose or damaged, it may need to be replaced. Check the loading motor: If the drive belt is fine, the issue could be with the loading motor. The motor may have burned out or become faulty, preventing the tape from being loaded properly. In this case, the motor may need to be replaced. If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be necessary to take the VHS player to a professional repair shop for further diagnosis and repair.

8mm JVC tapes put into a VHS tape that will play on a combined TV and VCR. Please, please, I need your help! Found tapes from 15 years ago.

You need an 8mm player or the camera that recorded the tapes. Connect the video and audio from the 8mm player/camera to a VHS recorder. Put the 8mm on play and the VHS on record.

My JVC DR-MV150B plays prerecorded VHS tapes fine.

Try opening the front hatch of the tape by pressing the small, square button on the right or left (short) side of the tape. Check the black tape inside for any marks, dirt, scratches, tears, etc. If the tape is fine then your unit needs to be cleaned with a tape cleaner available at any electronics specialty or retail store. Good luck to you!

How do i go about transfering vhs-c video from an

You have several options. But important one to understand is the limitations of a PIII computer like Armada e500. You may not have enough grunt to convert stuff, even after buying the necessary video capture devices which work on USB.

Also I am assuming you either have the jvc camcorder still available or atleast have a VHS-C to VHS adapter to play the tapes on a standard VHS tape player.

Unless you are having a lot tapes and need editing while converting, your better bet might be to go to one of the shops that convert these tapes on to DVD or a suitable flash drive which might work out cheaper and quicker.

The last time I did this thing (quality of my VHS-C tapes was bad) I bought a Samsung combined VHS Video / DVD recorder and used the dubbing feature to burn DVDs. Cost me about $150 a year ago. I was able to do some editing on the way as I was connected to the TV screen as well. Saved me the hassles of dealling with the PC type video capture devices and software.

Recording from VHS to DVD

It is only a DVD player, you can't record with it. You can only record on VHS tape.

Very common problem when tape feeder wears out. It takes a bit of soldiering and testing to replace the feeder. Honestly, I would just get a new one.

EP to LP problem on VHS tape playback

The problem is dirt, dust or even mould on the VHS tape. You should look on youtube for video's about cleaning a VHS tape. However if it's really bad there is nothing you can do about it. Commercial VHS were only recorded on SP so the quality of the tape means more signal, so less of a problem keeping the video tracked, even if the tape has patches of mould, likely if kept in a basement!
