Have a sony kdf-50e2000 just change bulb like 3 mouths age tv screen works pic is very green clear but lost most of color

Dbrian07, most of these problems are caused by a defect in the optical block or light engine, your description of the problem points out to this particular area. there are some websites that can give you prices for either rebuilt or replacement light engines, you will need to type in your complete model number, and SONY USA.COM has a website i think they also can help you with parts for this model. please leave your feedback if i answered your question. thanks!

So you do have a picture? Albeit dark blue? Then its the source and/or video connection that is probably the problem

Tv won't turn on. It blinks green then red.
Hi,
Question shows tv is Sony KDF-60WF655.
Green light blinks when tv gets prepare to fire up lamp, check internal circuits then show picture on front screen.
Red light blinking shows some kind of internal problem during circuit check and protection got activated upon some failure.
Count the red light blink as you will see 3 second long pause and post it here to diagnose what section of tv got problem.
Did you replaced its lamp in last 2-3 years?

Okay, I have a 50e2000. Replaced the bulb, checked the door a bizillion times, all seems intact. The red light still blinks 3 times! Ready to pull out my hair!!!

T.v turns off about 3 times a day
Its problem of bulb that got weak in result and causing TV shut down.
Replace bulb in TV and I would recommend to buy Sony original bulb for TV safety.

Sony Wega kdf-50E2000 Keeps turning off and on
Before you replace the lamp I recommend trying to clean/dust the lamp component and lamp plug in area. I had the same problem and was able to resolve it by simply blowing the dust off the lamp components and fan. Use a can of high pressure air to get into the cracks and crevices.

bad lamp driver, if you have already replaced the lamp. If not, try replacing the lamp WITH AN ORIGINAL SONY LAMP!. Don't waste time with cheap replacements, you get what you pay for.
