No sound on Panasonic Tau tv

Our 5 year old Tau tv just stopped putting out sound. It has not moved in 5 years, so it wasn't jostled or bumped or anything like that. One minute we had sound, the next it was quiet. We disconnected the cable box and the actual tv still does not have sound.
The ''speakers On/Off'' in the audio section is set to ''On''. Still nothing.
Any ideas?

My Tv has No picture or sound. Tv was moved from another room to another, Tv was not bump or anything and the TV set is not but a year old.is there a reset button or something for this TV is a 42LG30

Hi.. Most manufacturers offer a 1-year warranty on equipment. If the Tv is less than a year old, I would recommend contacting the retail outlet you purchased the Tv from and have them arrange a repair from the manufacturer, with no cost to you.

NO PICTURE OR SOUND

Most likely the Li-Fi lamp is bad. If it is and your TV is less than 5 years old the lamp is covered under warranty by Panasonic but must be replaced by a Panasonic dealer. If its less than 2 years the labor is also covered. If its less than 5 years old and it appears the lamp isn't firing I would contact Panasonic to have a technician look it.

Hi, I have a Panasonic W32D2DP its about 5 years old. It worked fine until about 3 weeks ago. It started cutting off and going to standby. It worked fine after for a few more hours, then would do it...

It's going to be cheaper to buy a new TV. Once you get this problem solved, another one will pop up. The parts for a TV that's 5 years old are not going to be cheap. Most TV repair shops stop carrying parts after 4 years, & the manufacturer stops making them after 7-10 years. With a semi-major purchase like a TV, it's best to purchase an extended warranty. ipmart. com offers a cheap repair manual. You'll be suprised how expensive repair shops can be when it involves "out-of-warranty" work.

PANASONIC 36" TAU --- NEED HELP

Sounds terminal. Companies build things with "planned obsolescence" in mind. In other words. You buy a TV today, and the warranty says it's good for 4 years. 4 years and 3 months later, it dies.

I hope someone else can help you.
Good Luck!

No picture no sound nothing

We had a TV repairman look at our 3 year old (Oct 2004) Panasonic CT-32HXC14J FLAT SCREEN TV. It suddenly stopped working and appeared to have no power getting to it. It was a high voltage supply or transformer that was bad and has to be replaced - estimated cost is around $400. In a year we will also need to spend around $125 for a digital converter box. We went for the repair since that is still cheaper than a $1,000 plus equivalent size LCD or plasma.

Our old tube tv was still working after 15+ years. They aren't making them like they used to. Way to go Panasonic.
