Make certain your clock is set.

It seems a little silly, but the self-clean function will not work if the clock isn't set.

The squeek is from the exhaust fan. The self cleaning feature only cleans the ignitor.

Exhaust fan has deposits on it. Run heater wide open for 1/2 hour to burn deposits away

The dryer has a loud, high pitched squeek

Hello Robin, thank you for your post!
From the information you have provided your Frigidaire dryer is making a loud high pitched squeaking noise. This noise could be coming from your belt, motor, or spider arm. In order to find out which component might need to be replaced you would need to disassemble the dryer. We would recommend having a professional technician out to perform a proper repair. Improper disassembly of the dryer could result in personal injury or a problem with the dryer later in its life cycle. I hope that this information is helpful to you. -Matt

My toyo 73 has started making a loud vibrating noise during startup but gets quiet after running a little while...the fan is not on during start up....

The fan blowing air to the room might not be on but the flue fan would be. I reckon this is where the noise might be from. Fan impellors get coated with dust and this throws the balance out (similar to a car wheel if you loose one of the balance weights). Highly recommend getting it serviced by a good technician. Always good practice every year or so and might fix the problem.

Dishwasher Making Loud High Pitched Noise.

How deep do you want to get into this?It sounds like the wash pump motor bearings that are worn. You can pull the unit out flip it over and wd40 the bearings in the motor or you can replace the bearings.Try to lube them first.

Pitched noise coming from the fan

When I first got my PS3, It had the annoying high pitched fan sound as well, but went away after a week and has worked fine ever since, no problems at all. I have the 60 gig version, so. Maybe if yours is new you just need to break it in?
