This seems to be a common problem with this rig. So far, I've helped 13 people on this site with exactly the same problem ... all the lights are on, but no heat on the plate and no dripping water.

After a weekend on the workbench, I've mastered this machine. The KM7000 has 2 x MicroTemp G4 thermal cutoff (TCO) fuses which interrupt the Live line, for overheat protection. Mine didn't overheat per se, but the TCO blew anyway. Not reset-able ... need to be replaced with a soldering iron. I'll be happy to advise you to fix this, or fix it for you. Check to see if the heating plate warms up, if it doesn't your water heater/warming plate has failed.

I set up our new coffee maker and it didn't grind...ordered it online from Macy's but had no manual and didn't know what to do...put coffee grinds in the top and then set up the timer for this...

You need to swivel the brew basket cover until it locks for the coffee to grind. Then turn the machine on and the coffe will grind. , then turn the machine off, add water and press the auto on to use the auto timer.

Krups KM7000 grinds but won't brew, warming plate no heat. Is this repairable, (perhaps a fuse?) or is it junk. Bought the machine in March 2008

Krups KM7000 won't brew

Your heating plate is your hot water heater, and most likely failed. Krups replaced my whole unit.
