Leave it open with no tape, then put it in the airing cupboard overnight to warm gently and let the condensation evaporate

SOURCE: Cassette holder does not close

Try inserting another tape first. If the trouble is still there,Defective mechanism, a stucked mechanism is present. camcorder are smart it can detects error and shuts down itself for safety. earlier models dominoes the defect if the user is not quick enough to react when something goes wrong with the camera. You need professional service to fix it.

SOURCE: condensation

The camera has a sensor inside to detect condensation. Condensation can cause the tape to stick the the transport mechanism, resulting in possible damage.

Condensation can occur if the camera is moved from a cold environment to a warm one. The only thing you can do is open the tape compartment, remove the tape to allow maximum airflow and wait for the camera to warm up and any condensation to evaporate.

If the condensation warning had come on and your camera hasn't experienced a sudden change of temperature, this could indicate a possible fault. I'm afraid this is not something you would be able to fix yourself.

SOURCE: Please wait -Condensation operation Paused

If the camera becomes damp or cold and brought into a warm atmosphere damp forms in the mechanism which would cause the tape to stick and become damaged or fouled.

leave the camera to warm up for a few hours and the fault should clear.

If not the most common reason is the dew sensor has failed and needs replacing

When trying to record or replay, I'm getting an error message that says "Please wait - Condensation, Operation Paused." I've waited now over a week & still getting the same error...

Put the camcorder in a warm dry place for a few hours, there is moisture inside the unit, that triggers the humidity sensor and shuts the camera off. If after drying the camcorder for a reasonable time it still will not function you will need to get it repaired.

Condensation can occur if the camera is moved from a cold environment to a warm one.

So open the tape compartment, remove the tape to allow maximum airflow and wait for the camera to warm up

Regarding Condensation please wait

I have a JVC GR-DX97EK digital Mini DV camcorder.I'm getting a error message that says "Please Wait,Condensation Operation Paused".Can someone help with this problem?Possibly how to disconnect...

Condensation Alert is normal behaviour if you have taken the camera, for example, from a warm heated room to an outside cold environment. This is to prevent damage to tape or camera.
Wait until the camera acclimatizes (no moisture in the camera) to the new conditions and try again.
If the above is not the problem, take the camea to an Authorised Dealer for diagnosis.

I have a camcorder and started getting a message that there were condensation issues...please wait....then I started getting bands across my screen that prevent me from viewing video at all

Erroneous condensation message happens more often to this series, but users can not do anything about it. You may try to leave it running for sometime if the error is legitimate it should disappear, if not visit your nearest JVC Service Center.

Lcd screen reads

Either the dew sensor is defective or there is some condensation inside the unit. Try opening up the unit and pointing a hair dryer at it from about 12" away (enough to blow warm air inside the unit, not hot air). Let that run for about 10-15 minutes and try the unit again. If it continues to fail, than the dew sensor needs to be replaced. This repair shoold be done by a repair shop as cameras are not the easiest to work on.
