Front loading washers have always been a pain from the first ones made by Westing house in the 1950s, now they have come back in style, and more complicated than ever, that means they are going to be expensive to repair. the pump went out on my son's in wisconsin ,$500 parts and labor, $100 more than a new no frills top loading washer costs new. we have had a Maytag top loader for 32 years and have replaced one belt.
what shoul I need to fix when the light sensing on and the dryer does not start ( it still hot ) .

The drum mounts to a spindle on the back. On these units, it is common for the tripod mounts for this particular design to crack and break. On every call I have had for a terrible vibration on these models, this has been the problem. The remedy is to replace the front and rear tub, as well as the basket. It is also recommended that you replace the drain pump at the same time. Most of this should be covered under at least a parts warranty
Those are front tub supports that keep the tub from scraping.Unless you start hearing a rubbing or scraping sound your dryer is ok.Just keep a ear open for awhile for any scraping sound.If you need help in the future with anything ,Im more than happy to help you.
