To correct this issue try this method

You need to reflash the OS on the phone you should take the battery out first then connect it via the usb cable to the laptop/pc you are using then open the blackberry desktop manager, click on the apploader, then install the OS.

pls not that when u click on the apploader the pin should be PIN:UNKNOWN you make need to do this like 4x before the pc sees the pin:unknown but it will work once it see the pin:unknown you can re-insert the battery and continue with reflashing the phone

How to remove jvm error 513

Looks like you forgot the device password? This is pretty easy to do, but it does take sometime to download the files necessary to accomplish the task. You first need to have the most recent version of Blackberry Desktop Manager installed on your computer. You then download and install your phone's most recent software to the computer (make sure Desktop Manager is not running when you do this) The phone's installation file will launch desktop manager on it's own. Then plug the phone into your computer and follow the prompts. For more info see www.blackberry.com/support and search KB13003 and KB11320.

Screen says JVM Error 513 Reset

install Blackberry Desktop on your computer and download the latest Blackberry Phone software from your carriers webite and instal it on your computer. Then connect your phone WITHOUT the battery to your PC and Click on App Loader. Follow directions and install the Software. The Installation WILL FAIL THE 1ST TIME. Thats normal. This time connect the phone WITH the battery and try the same thing again and you will have a brand new phone. except your Data.

JVM ERROR 513

The best way to fix any JVM error is to reinstall the device software. This is the same process as if you had to reinstall your OS (windows) for example on your PC. You will lose all information but you device will be reset to the state of when you first removed it from the box when purchased.

Jvm error 513 message on my blackberry pearl 8100

All you have to do is use the desktop manager (DM) you should have loaded when you got the phone. if you didnt load the software, go on www.blackberry.com/software to get your version of desktop software. plug the data cable into the phone and do a "hard sync". from the DM, pick the application loader, add load your phone's new version of software. If your pc doesn't see the BB (which is inevitable because pc/windows is trash) restart both pc and the bb. Again, plug the cable into the BB first then into the pc. Once this is complete any info you had on the phone is gone. Sorry, should have used the desktop software before you had a problem :P
NOTE: YESS, mac users there is a desktop manager software for us finally! I believe you have to have "leopard" 10.5.4 or higher. :D
