try monitor on a different working desktop to see if it works, both on the external and internal video card ports. If screen menu buttons fails to respond, fault is either on menu buttons or you may have a burned out lcd screen, try a different monitor on your desktop pc to check its functionality. Monitor probably needs replacement.( It might not be burned out for you mentioned "no signal" error message appeared on screen, have the screen menu buttons checked)
i believe that there could be an internal damage on the menu buttons thats why its not responding..
is your monitor still in warranty? most monitor holds a 3 yr warranty. unless if theyre tied to the system
i would advice you to take your monitor to a technician, but if you are not ready, please leave the monitor on and make sure it is connected to ups u can now turn it on and off from the ups, if you continue the menu, Auto fit etc stuff, you might damage or disorganize the settings of your monitor which might cost you more. thanks
You have five buttons at thee right-hand bottom of your screen (just under thee edge). They are (from
left to right) the Main Menu button, the Down button, the Up button, the Input button and the Power
button (under the light).
To adjust your screen press the main menu button. Once the main menu screen is up, toggle
through it using the Up/Down buttons. Once you see what you want to adjust, move over to the
right side of the menu by pressing the Input button. Now use your Up/Down buttons to highlight
what you want to change. Once it is highlighted, press the "Input" button again. Now use the
Up/Down buttons to adjust your settings.
Once you have adjusted the settings, simply press the main menu button to exit.
Resetting the TV If the buttons on the remote AND the buttons on the TV case do not work (channels do not change and you cannot open or navigate the menu), the TV has stopped responding. Reset the TV as follows:
NOTE: Some TVs have a reset button. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can save time.
1.Unplug the TV power cord from the power outlet. 2.Unplug any connected devices (DVD, Set-top boxes, etc...) 3.Press and hold the TV power button for five seconds. 4.Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the TV. 5.Open the on-screen menu to confirm that the TV is responding again. 6.Turn off the TV and reconnect the devices. 7.Turn on the TV.
Under the menu options, there's Menu Lock. Switch it to "On". It worked
for me.
My menu button wasn't working, so to access the menu, I had to hold down
the arrow up button and push the arrow down button till I got to the
Menu Lock Option.
I found this on another site:
[QUOTE=numbnutjas]I had the same problem along with lots of others who bought this great prolite monitor.
Whenever you turn the power off for more than five seconds the monitor looses an important bit of info of a hidden menu. Iilyama are not keen on publicizing the fact their monitor has a bug!
Follow these steps very carefully, it might not work the first time but it does work I promise.
Make sure that the moniter power button is off.
Unplug monitor from mains ( the auto exit button should flash red after about five seconds and you hear a popping sound.)
plug monitor back in mains.
hold down + and - on the monitor
now hold down power button on monitor
let go of power when power button when the green led lights up
let go of + and - buttons
wait a few seconds and press menu, a hidden menu will appear in the top right
use the + and - buttons to move the hilighted option over the auto colour option in the menu push the menu button.
It does work, but if you have any problems: email at : miamoo2038 at hotmail dot co dot uk
