If it is blowing:
room air = no cooling
hot air = unit is running
cool air = unit is trying to empty
sounds like it is NOT hot air

You are working it too hard. Back off the percentage. But first, let it thaw. Id be inclined to use a fan in the area. You might need two machnes in this space. Do not allow outside air into the space until you get it a little more dried out.

I hope this works for you

My Kul Dehumidifier filter keeps freezing up? is there anything I can do to keep this from happening?

Turn the knob to a lower setting so that the unit cycles on & off. This will give it time to warm back up and melt the ice in between dehumidifying runs.

There is ice on the filter and the filter will not come out. Tried turning off so it would melt, but filter still stuck. It is summer so why is ice forming?

I have had a AD75UST0 WHIRLPOOL Dehumidifier for several years. I had mine ice up once or twice particularly on very high humidity days > 90%. Once it thawed out. I was able to remove the filter. Most likely it is due to dust getting on coils & condenser Or actually has a Freon leak. to resolve the dirty coils you can easily dissemble (that is remove front & rear cover) it to give coils and condenser a good thorough cleaning. It the coils and condenser are not at all dirty, then is not the cause of the icing. The units are typically not serviceable - i.e. a disposable small appliance.

Esco Oasis 2700L dehumidifier ices up. Is there a filter to be cleaned and if so, how to I get to it?

Hi,

The most common cause of frost and ice buildup on a dehumidifier is because the unit is operating in temperatures that are too cold. Many dehumidifiers are not equipped to run at temperatures below 65 degrees Fahrenheit.
To fix this problem, Position the dehumidifier in an area where there is at least one foot of clearance around the unit in order to allow for proper air circulation during its operation. Close all windows, doors and other outside openings to make sure your unit isn't attempting to remove moisture from areas outside of the immediate room. Determine the temperature of the room by checking a nearby thermostat or by using a hand-held thermometer.

Check the filter for dirt and buildup. Unplug the unit from the electrical source and check the filter by opening the filter compartment. If the filter is dirty, it will restrict airflow through the unit and lead to freezing. Soleus recommends lightly vacuuming the surface of the filter to remove dirt. The filter also can be washed in warm water if it is extremely dirty. Once clean, place the filter back in its compartment. Allow for the ice to melt and then restart your dehumidifier.

Why is my dehumidifier icing up.

The room temperature is probably too cold, or there's poor airflow
Here's some info that should help you figure out what's causing the problem:

If the evaporator coil is frosting completely and evenly, the most common cause is that the room temperature is too cold. Most dehumidifiers are not meant to be used when the room temperature drops much below 70°F and certainly not below 65°F (depending on humidity). There are however some models called "basement" dehumidifiers which are.

Another possible cause on standard models is poor air flow through the unit. If the fan motor is not turning fast enough (or at all) or the evaporator, condenser or filter (if used) being plugged can also cause this symptom .

It keeps icing up even at the lowest #1 setting

is the filter dirty or is the air flow not as much as it used to be - low freon pressure - low air flow causes a/c units - dehumidifiers to ice up - if fan is running normal are the fan blades dirty

Ice forms on the coils of a white westinghouse dehumidifier

if the filter is clean than it most likely is low on freon with the right tools you could add freon
