U will have to re program the keypad follow the directions on the lid of the keypad now on some models u have to hold down * # at the same time until it stops blinking then enter your 4 digit code press enter hold for 2 sec if opener does not release and press again as soon as u hear the opener click or light blink press 0 to store code then wait 60sec and try

It actually depends on what you are trying to program. And these instructions apply only to openers that do not have dip switches on them.
Remotes: push don't hold the colored learn code button all models have different colors. After pushing the button hold the remote behind your back and push it three times. On the third time the door should run.
Keyless Entry: Program the code you want into the keyless. Push the colored learn code button and then enter the code and push enter three times slowly. on the third time the door should run.
Home-Link. Hold the two outer buttons until the blinking pattern changes. Then hold the button you wish to program and point and click your remote at it. Push the colored learn code button and push the homelink button three times.
There are two models of the Wireless Keyless Entry System, the 740CB and the 940CB. The 940CB is for use only with Security+® garage door openers having an orange/red smart/learn button. The 740CB will work with all openers manufactured since 1990 that have a yellow, white, gray, or green smart/learn button. It will not work with Security+® openers.
To program the keyless entry, first locate the smart/learn button. On our chain drive models, this button is on the end farthest from the door. On our belt and screw drive models, it is on the right side as you face the door from the opener. You simply press and release the smart/learn button. You now have 30 seconds to enter your four digit PIN number into the keypad and hold the enter button for five seconds. Wait one minute and test the keyless entry by entering your four-digit PIN number and pressing enter.
With some Security+® models, you can also program your Model 940CB Wireless Keyless Entry without climbing a ladder, right from your Multi-Function Control Panel. Simply enter your pre-selected code and press and hold the enter button on your Keyless Entry. Then press and hold the light button and the pushbutton on your Multi-Function Control Panel. The garage door opener lights will flash to confirm that the Keyless Entry has been successfully programmed.

Step 1. Hold down the (*) and the (#) keys until the keypad stops flashing.

Step 2. Determine your opener ID using the list below:

*1= linear garage door openers manufactured from 1997 to
present.

*2= Chamberlin, Sears, Craftsman, LiftMaster, Master
Mechanic and Do it garage door openers manufactured from
1997 to 2004 ( Orange learn Button)

*3= Same as *2 above, but manufactured from 2005 to present
with a (Purple learn Button)

*4= Same as *2 above, but manufactured from 1993 to 1996
with a (Green learn Button)

*5= Genie Intellicode and Overhead Door garage door openers
manufactured from 2005 to present (315 MHz).

*6= Same as *5 above but manufactured from 1995 to present
(390 MHz).

*7= Stanley garage door openers manufactured in 1998 to
present.

*9= Wayne Dalton garage door openers manufactured
in 1999 to present.

Programming: Enter the PIN that you want to use, remember
(4) digits only. then press #

Enter ID # from list above, for example 2 then #

Press and release the Learn button on your
garage door opener.

Enter your (4) digit PIN and press (0),
for Genie and Overhead door units press
(0) twice. To test and use wait for light to go out
on keypad, Enter you PIN and press (0).

A Stanley garage door keypad is wall-mounted, battery-operated device that allows you to open your home's garage door electronically without having to manually lift the door or use a pull chain. The keypad uses a four-digit access code that you program after the keypad is initially installed. You can change the code, disable the keypad manually by entering a invalid code and reset the keypad if the device is not working properly. After you reset your Stanley garage door keypad, the device is ready to accept a new access code.

Try programming it by pressing and immediately releasing the smart/learn button and then walking over to the keypad and keying in your four digit code and press enter. If this doesn't work your keypad is bad.

The blinking lights are normal when you enter a code and press enter. I would try programming it and if that doesn't work replacing it. To program it you press and immediately release the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit and then key in your 4 digit code and press enter.

To program the keyless entry, first locate the smart/learn button. On the chain drive models, this button is on the end farthest from the door. On the belt and screw drive models, it is on the right side as you face the door from the opener. You simply press and release the smart/learn button. To program the keypad, first unplug the garage door opener from the electrical outlet. Next, remove the nameplate from the console that the keypad plugs into and locate the program/operate switch. Flip the switch to program. Next, enter your desired four-digit PIN number into the keypad. Slide the switch back to operate, and plug the garage door opener back in. The keypad should be programmed. pressing all buttons firmly....
1) on the keypad, enter your 4 digit code, press enter once
2) on the operator head, press the learn code button once
3) (within 30 seconds) on keypad- enter 4 digit code again, press (slowly) enter, enter, enter

the opener should be programmed

You need to reprogram. Press and release the Learn button and within 20 seconds type in 4 digit code and press and hold enter. The light on the opener should flash once or click if you have no light bulb. This should solve your problem

I press the learn button on the door motor. I wait a few seconds and press a new 4 digit code into the keypad, hold down on the "enter" button for several seconds so it learns the code. Now the remote will not work. Press the learn button again, press the button on the car remote until the light on the motor blinks. Both should work after that.
