Three beeps when i try to turn it on

When I try to turn on my camera by pressing the power button, it turns blue and then beeps three times, and turns off. If I press the 'play' button to review my pictures, it makes a buzzing noise, shows the picture I took most recently, and then makes the three beeping sounds and turns off.
I know that the beeping sounds are usually because the lens is askew, but the lens is retracted in my camera and I can't move it.

I had the same problem a while back. I fooled around with my camera lens a bit and it turned out that one side of the lens was sticking out a bit. I pressed down on this and pushed the power button and it worked. The next time I turned it on the same thing happened but if you keep doing the same thing it should work.

Hope this helps!

Camera lens is stuck in out position, but screen is not on, beeps three times when i push the on/off button

I had this problem with my Nikon CoolPix S500. The problem was that my step-daughter had dropped it while the lens was out, causing it to get wedged out of alignment. On close inspection, I could actually see that one edge of the lens was protruding just a little more than the opposite edge.

The fix was to gently but firmly press or tap on the edge that's protruding a little more, just to get it sufficiently unstuck for the low-torque built-in motor to retract it properly.

Once it's unstuck, you still need power it off and on a couple of times to reset and recalibrate the in and out positions. Good luck!

Samsung S85 camera wont turn on. When the power button is pressed the green light flashes and the camera beeps three times than turns off. how do i fix it?

I quote the solution posted for another expert about this same problem...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My daughter has a Samsung S850, and returned from a weekend trip last night. She pressed the "Power" button and the blue light next to the button came on, as did the screen. The camera then gave a "buzzy beep" three times and shut-down. She decided the batteries were low and replaced them with ordinary AAA alkaline batteries, nothing special, and got the same result.

This morning I checked the voltage on the new and old batteries with a volt-ohm meter and found the old ones were low but the new ones were good.

I read this site and saw a comment that the camera worked after the lens was worked a little bit.

Upon a close look at the lens, I could see tiny grains of sand around the outside of the glass, so I got a wooden toothpick and gently worked the sand out with plenty of tapping on a solid surface to drop them from the area. I also worked the tip of a clean toothpick under what appears to be a soft rubber sealing ring on the outer surface of the glass.

After all this, when the "Power" button was pushed, the lens moved out and the screen lighted, and all the camera now seems to be working.

I should add that shortly after my daughter bought the camera, she lost some kind of metal or plastic ring from around the lens, and that left the "works" around the lens open to view: I can see two tiny screws the lens that are probably ordinarily covered.

Is the lens supposed to be covered by a curtain when power is off? From what I see, the lens is always uncovered. Maybe that lost ring held something else!

I cannot turn my camera on.

If The Lens Is All The Way Out And Wont Go Bak In Thats Why The Camera Wont Turn On Not The Other Way Around. Try Very Gently Turning The Lens And Turning The Camera On At The Same Time Till U Hear A Click That Should Do The Trick.

My samsung l830 camera lens is stuck open and when i press the power button it beeps 3 times and remains blue then does nothing

If the lens on the camera is stuck out, look to see if it's a little crooked. If it is, try to gently straighten it. If it still won't retract, try to gently push it in as you turn the power on.
If it won't turn on (the green light blinks and it beeps 3 times) push and hold the 'power' button and the 'play' button at the same time for a few seconds - it worked for my S730. Good luck!

My Polaroid camera i631 won't turn on!!

Here is the solution for your problem. If you look at your camera at an angle, you will see the zoom lens is little bent to the side. I want you to put press on it to snap-it into it's place. After you heard a click, then turn-on your camera. This will fix your cam.

Push the on button and nothing happens

I believe you are using a new power supply now.
Before you start, first check if your Power button is OK.

To do this, first unplug the power cord from your PC.

Remove POWER-Button connector (with black/white or blue/white wires) from you Motherboard
Remove RESET-Button connector (with black/white or blue/white wires) and put it on the place of POWER-Button. (polarity for these buttons is not important)
Plug the power cord back and press RESET.
Does it change things ?
If it starts, then your Power-Button is broken.

If not, remove the power cord and then put te POWER-Button and RESET-Button on their places on the Motherboard.

Now do the following:
(please remember the position and polarity of all cables/items you remove/unplug, Use Digital camera if necessary). Be patient, don't hurry!
- Unplug the power cord.
- Press power button few times (power cord is unplugged).
- Remove the Battery.
- Unplug the Monitor cable and remove VGA card.
- Remove RAM module(s).
- REMOVE any PCI cards(Modem. Lan, Audio etc.).
- Unplug any HDD/FDD/DVD cables from the Motherboard.
- Unplug Power from all your HDD/FDD/DVD devices.

Now:

- Put the batery back (be careful to the polarity)
- Put the Computer power cord
- Turn on your PC.

Is the Processor Cooler running ?
Are there Beeps from PC Speaker?

If not, then your Motherboard is broken !

If there are some beeps, then your Motherboard is OK, but some component(s) is broken.
Turn Off your PC by pressing the Power button for about 4 sec.
Unplug the power cord and press Power button few times.
Put your VGA back, and connect the monitor cable, too.
Put back ONLY ONE memory module (if there are more).
Connect the Power cord and press Power button.

Do you have a picture now ?
Are there Beeps from PC Speaker?

If you have a picture, put back all other memory modules and PCI cards, connect Data and Power cables to your HDD/FDD/DVD units, but ONE at TIME.
Do not connect and put everything back all at once!
After each change, see if there is a Pcture and (one) beep.
It needs some time but that's how you will detect which device/cable is maybe broken!
And remember:
Before you do any change, AALLWAYS do that with power cord unplugged and power button few times pressed !!!
If there are Beeps, try another memory module.

Again if there are still beeps, you have problem either with your RAM or VGA.
If there are infinite long beeps, than it is your RAM.
If there is one long and many (8) short beeps, then it is your VGA

Replace it!

Regards.
