I have a 46 inch Samsung LCD model number LN-T4665F and I have been having issues w/ the power/ clicking sound! It used to turn on and clicked a few times now just clicks all the time and doesn't turn on anymore nor does it turn off....and it is only 2 years old and outta warranty. I realize there are many more people w/ these issues so I wanna know that I am not alone, nor do I wanna have to pay hefty repair costs! What is your advice?

1. It is not a two years old TV, but a 9 years old one.
2. The common problem of the symptoms is a defective main power supply, you may check to see that are there anny "Pup-Up" electrolytic capacitor on the power supply, if there is any, replace them, you may fix up the TV

The set is under a year old and is under warranty. The LVDS cable inside these sets have a history of coming loose. The problem could be the panel. Either way, the set is the problem and needs to be looked at. This set is worked on in the home and does not need to be taken to a shop, so, you can still use it. Contact Samsung at: 1-800-SAMSUNG Hope this helps.

SOURCE: 46 inch Samsung TV that just clicks but wont turn on

I just fixed this very same problem. It is the capacitors are the problem. However, I think that if you have some minimal skills with soldering, you can fix this yourself. You just need to take out the system board, then the power supply parts are on the top right. The bad capacitor(s) will be bulging at the top and possibly have some brown stuff coming out. The ones that go bad are 1000microfarad, 10V, however you can replace them with higher voltage. I got 35V caps from radio shack for 1.59 each. You just need to solder out the bad ones and then put the new ones in and solder. Remember that the negative end goes on the side with the bold black part of the circle on the system board. Then just cut off the extra ends of the capacitors. If you are capable of doing this yourself, you will spend at most 6 dollars instead of however much a technician costs.

SOURCE: My Samsung LN-T4665F LCD TV is slow to start.

You have bad caps.on the power supply. They are under rated, 10volt insted of 16volt or more. Caps.run about $2-3 each. usualy takes 4-6 of them. Or replace the whole power supply. But you will have the same problem in a couple of years. Best bet is to have the bad caps. replaced with the right voltage rateing, and you will not have to worry about it happening again. Samsung 40 '' lcd just clicks but wont turn on

Most likely failed capacitors in the power supply. I am currently having the same problem with my 26 month old LN46A750. Samsung has agreed to fix this as an out of warranty "courtesy repair".
