Question about A.O. Smith Plumbing

The problem is the pumps cannot restart automatically after power off. So, I have to restart the pumps manually. However, this does not work for me very well since I am using remote control. It seems the remote control can not control in case of power shut off due to, for example, thunder storm. What can I do?

1996 ford f150 reg can short bed 351 Windsor e4od trans 4x4 I took a turn coming home from work and while completing my turn in lost power steering and then a few seconds later the engine shut it's self...
on a 92 they are not too seious with the electronics yet. is it manual clutch swich or automatic has to be in park to restart.

No power to fuel pump relay
There is an emergency fuel pump safety shutoff in case of an accident that will automatically shut fuel pump off so fuel does not keep pumping out at the scene of a crash. The reset button is usually in the trunk depending on what vehicle you have. Your manual will identify location for you.

Pump has not pressure and will not restart automatically
It may be the back flow check valve. If that valve is bad water will recirculate and never build pressure. If that is OK power it down then power back up. If it does not start then the controller is probably bad.

I assume the pump runs when switched on until a preset pressure is reached in the outlet when it cuts off, remaining on standby until the pressure falls due to a demand for water when it automatically restarts.

To achieve that automatic function there must be a pressure switch in the outlet side of the pump and that or the associated circuitry is where the fault must be as the pump seems to run ok when reset is pressed.
If it is modern it is likely electronics are involved and it would seem more likely those are at fault than a faulty pressure switch which could be expected to remain faulty all the time.

Another possibility is the motor is overheating due to a fault or due to the duty cycle being exceeded and the safety cut-out must be manually reset.

Automatic Restart? Are you trying to Start Automatic Restart or Stop Automatic Restart?

If you have having boot problems and the system keeps restarting, then turn off the computer, then hit the power button and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see SAFE MODE. Scroll down past Safe Mode and you will see an option to DISABLE AUTOMATIC RESTART. Take the Disable Automatic Restart option.

Is the car automatic or manual. I'm assuming its automatic. Do you still have the same problem after turning the car off and restarting if so your transmission is probably fryed

I just replaced my AO Smith SQ 1102 and had a new seal installed. After turning on the power, the motor makes a clicking sound several times, overheats and kicks off after about five minutes. I removed the diffuser to see if the impeller was spinning which it was. I reclamped it and am still experiencing the same problem. Can the motor be defective? Thanks.

AO Smith model #c48a95a06 has power will not start Pump says its wired for 230 volts although internally it seems to be wired for 115 volts. It has incoming voltage that meter says is about 102 volts. It will not start or even attempt to turn over. Is it voltage loss or a bad capacitor/
