I cannot receive multimedia messages on my Vodaphone J700

I have recently been given a pay as you go Vodaphone Samsung J700 as a recent birthday gift.
I previously had another mobile (cellular) phone which used the T-Mobile network.

In order to keep my present number I had my J700 unlocked and inserted my T-Mobile SIM Card.

However, I find that I cannot use multimedia messages or access any of the web services.

Being the wrong side of 50 years old, I am afraid that I don't have the technical expertise to correct this or even know if I can use all the available features on cross networks.

If anyone out there can point me in the right direction then your help will be greatly appreciated.

Kind Thanks

Steve

The unlock is one part. Try change the settings (you can get them from your current operators website). If you're able to change them then ok. If not you'll need to debrand the phone as well to be abble use internet services from other operators.

Ive recently bought a i9 touch phone fron china. (a clone of the iphone) i live in Australia and am with the vodafone network. can any one help me out with mms/gprs/wap settings....

Let www.sciphonesettings.co.uk take the pain out of configuring your Sciphone/CECT handset to enable GPRS, WAP, MMS and Webmail. You could be surfing the web and sending/receiving multimedia messages within 24 hour.
They supply setting to Austrailia too.

Right, here goes,

Presumably you had the same problem as i did, you cannot remove the recent contacts from the message thing,

Here is how i resolved it, it takes a bit of messing around but its the only way as far as i know.

Their are 30 recent contacts in that annoying little folder, send a blank text to 001 (but as soon as you send it, cancel it), then repeat 30 times to the respective numbers EG; 001, 002, 003 .................. until you get to 030. (you don't have to use these numbers but its the easiest way)

When i done it, i received a message stating the number i was dialing was to short. (just ignore it)

in the end, you will end up with 030 at the top and 001 at the bottom, but at least you won't end up with any of your private numbers stuck in the recent contacts folder. once you've done that, all you'll have to do is delete the unsent, blank messages.

I hope this helps
