Please remove the cartridges from the printer. Take a dry lint free paper towel and gently wipe the contacts on the back of the cartridge (not the bottom from where ink is present). Wipe the contacts inside the printer (on cartridge carrier). Please snap the cartridges back into the cartridge carrier and please try to print a printer self test.

How can you clean print heads for the HP C4480 All-In-One? "Best quality photos" prints well, but text has lines and smudge marks. Cleaned spongy material below cartridges but can't clean roller....

just take out the ink cartridge and clean off the bottom of it, that is the print head. you may need to clean under the plastic piece that it sits in. That may have hair or fuzz on it that is dragging across print.

Bizhub C350 Black smudges on prints

Sounds like you may have a bad fusing roller. Run some blank sheets. If the smudges start to fade, that's your trouble. When the fusing roller is bad it doesn't clean as well, so when you run bold text or anything that has higher than normal toner coverage, there will be more build up on the fusing roller that then transfers to the paper.

Verticle line down left side of page

Printers tend to have this problem if for some reason dirt gets trapped under the print heads. A standard head cleaning is the best solution, which can be found in the menu.
