I can't find anyting on the Acer website about a "Solution Center Disk". Is it causing problems with your computer,or do you just keep getting the message for no reason? I thin "Solution Center Disk refers to a group of built-in acer applications that come with every Acer machine.You can download these at the following link.Note,only download the ones on the one's on the first page who's name begin with the word "Acer".

Hi,

The Acer Elock is used to protect your computer from any external device or access like flash drive, any external media device, optical disc DVD etc.
To make the DVD CD station active you need to go to acer elock interface and enter the password which you first entered on the computer while doing acer elock system.

The only disadvantage of this Acer Elock system is if you forgot the password you need to go to Acer Custoer Center and get it fixed

I would start by removing the elock software permanently. Go to RUN and type msconfig. Click the services tab and find elock. Uncheck it and reboot. Then go into add/remove programs and get rid of elock.

Post again if you need more help. Your drives should now be assigned letters normally but if they are not we can get past that too.

My xbox says open tray when there is a disc in it

common xbox flaw mine does the same ,just keep opening and closeing the tray till it reads the disk,this can be very annoying .your dvd tray is probally on the way out

Acer eLock Management
Acer eLock Management is a security utility that allows you to lock your removable data, optical and floppy
drives to ensure that data cannot be stolen while your notebook is unattended.

Removable data devices - includes USB disk drives, USB pen drives, USB flash drives, USB MP3 drives,
USB memory card readers, IEEE 1394 disk drives and any other removable disk drives that can be
mounted as a file system when plugged into the system.

Optical drive devices - includes any kind of CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drives.
�� Floppy disk drives - 3.5-inch disks only.
�� Interfaces - includes serial ports, parallel port, infrared (IR), and Bluetooth.
To activate Acer eLock Management, a password must be set first. Once set, you can apply locks to any of the
devices. Lock(s) will immediately be set without any reboot necessary, and will remain locked after rebooting,
until unlocked.

You can try this:

You can reset the system to its default settings (all devices unlocked) by removing the password (leave the password fields blank when changing the password).

You also may be able to simply uninstall the e-lock software in add remove programs.

Is there an icon in your system tray that may allow you to disable e-lock?

My advice for you will be, go to Add/Remove Program, uninstall the acer elock, restart your windows, it should be running just fine. If the problem still persist. Please do come back here for more assistance.

Acer e lock activated??????????????

I have a working workaround solution to this problem - save yourself 100usd (what acer requests from the unlocking) and press the ask me button to send me the free(FREE POST TO FORUM) request, Il give you the workaround, will take less than 10 minutes to solve the problem, really not worth it to pay 100usd for something this silly.

Il possibly soon make a video tutorial on how its done but for now, send me a request and il tell you how to get rid of the problem.

Acer Aspire Z3101 All-In-One. Two side USB slots have not worked for a while. I thought it was ware and tear so replaced the (audio / USB) board that is on the side of the unit. No diff. Any ideas? I have checked the device manager and nothing shows up that's relevant in the USB area. Is there anything separate or dedicated in the BIOS for the side audio / USB inputs? The audio jack for headphones works. So it's just the two USB sockets that do not work.
