First of all remove ant cd from drive when booting up uinless you are using a bootable windows disk. if the problem still persist when then computer starts booting up keep pressing f8 until you get the choice to go in to safe mode. Once in safe mode choose the option when prompted go to system restore points and restore the computer to a date availabe wich is before the date of the problems.

E-machine HD Monitor Blue Flashing light on/off Bottom Screen Black, But other Monitor works

No monitor model told
no PC model told
no OS told
also PCs with wrong drivers, the sleep mode fails.
so turn off sleep fully in the control panel + power settings
go to performance mode.;the blow flashing light means I AM sleeping but THERE ARE ONLY 3 WAYS TO END SLEEP ON A DESKTOP(NO NOT FIDDLING A MONITOR)
wiggle the mouse or click it but of USB ports are allowed sleep that fails. hard. so never allow usb to sleep.
then way 2, hammer the space bar ,keyhboard or the ESC key
see PC exit sleep, if USB is allowed to sleep (ports)it too fails
and last the power button pushed in for 10second and released
forces a sick PC, (bad drivers that kill sleep features) this act resets the PC and reboots.
why not just turn off all sleep modes. and just allow the monitor to sleep and or power it off. not used.

also page in your manual states (see resume)
and never allow Hibernate at all it is super buggy or any deeper state.

"Press this button to turn the power on
or off. You can also configure the power
button to operate in Standby/Resume

mode or Hibernate mode. The power
indicator lights when the computer is
turned on."

why not test the PC with newer monitor 2011 newer LED back lighted monitor to be sure your older monitor is not bad as seen here in this flash light test.

flash-glow-magic2-undefined-undefined-0_3.jpg

rCAP
learn to disable all forms of sleep modes, ALL no exceptions.
then see if this works if it does you just learned your drivers are bad.
or test the PC with a newer monitor 2012 is LED for sure)
learn that bad drivers most times make sleep fail
no oS told at all, not even a tiny clue is this XP the versus magnet from H3LL>? or worse upgraded to vista and drivers are all no good for vista. never up grade any os lacking oem support for all drivers.
newer. vast PCs have no upgrade path at and guess what
emachine is infamous for that fact. they stink this way but sure wins the dirt chip cost war, sure.
the fast resume is on the power button to set right]
the fast press is resume from sleep, the but is programable.
if drivers are wrong all this fails hard,

Emachine EL1852 keep on restarting

Hi,
Does it load operating system fully before restarting? If it does, run a full scan of the drive with an updated anti-virus.
If not,do a reboot[enslave] of your hard disk from another computer. This is how to:-
Remove the hard disk from your machine.
Disconnect CD/DVD ROM from machine 2 and connect your hard drive.
Start the machine.'You're trying to run Unix' alert comes on, press f1[ save changes].
A disk check operation starts. This repairs the operating system on your hard disk.
After successful loading operating system of machine2,turn it off and remove your drive.
Fix it on your machine and start it.

Hope this helps.Thanks!

My Emachine desktop computer model ET1641-02W shuts off 2-3 seconds after turning it on

It could be that it is overheating, see my tip here: http://www.fixya.com/support/r6789964-pc_overheating

Or your PC might have the a virus that has infected your boot settings. Try boot into safe mode by pressing the F8 key while your computer boots. If it still reboots then there is no way you can run a virus scan on the drive and you may need to format and re-install Windows.

Emachine running SLOW and Freezes - 1 year old

Here are some suggestions: First of all . Do you have an anti virus installed on your husband's machine ? Viruses can slow the machine and even kill it permanently ( so be careful) . Just install an anti virus and you'll solve the problem . If you are already have an anti virus , then just run a full system scan and watch what will happen and follow the recommended steps that will be given by the anti virus [ There are a lot of anti virus softwares in the market ] but if you suspect that your system is already infected i recommend you to use (Avast professional edition) because it can make a boot scan , that means after you install it , it will ask you if you want to make a boot scan , just agree with it and it will reboot the system and start a boot time scanning , meanwhile you should watch it and give it the right orders if it detected a virus infection . Here is another suggestion : There is a certain software you could install it . This software can help your machine and detect any problem on your husband's computer but viruses . this software is called (TuneUp utilities) . You can download it from here www.tune-up.com . just try it and you'll be satisfied with result . if that didn't help just contact me again and i'll help you as possible as i can .
good luck .

E machin w3502 wont work at all

I am not sure what you mean "if you reboot you will loose all the data" or do you mean reformat your hard drive? You should be able to reboot your system in safe mode which will load only the minimal drivers for your system to work. Safe mode can be used to fix a lot of problems and should not cause you to loose any data. Once you have your system up in safe mode you can use your recovery console to help you troubleshoot and fix many problems including corrupt files from viruses or use " last known good configuration" etc. In the future it is always a good idea to back up your system and burn the back up to a disk, since you have a business this should be done every two days. You can also make a boot disk that can help you if you encounter a problem in the future. Another option is cloning your hard drive which you can buy thrid party software that will make this easy, but you will need to have another hard drive and the software to do this. If your friend has more technical knowledge about computers than you, he should be able to help explain the things I mentioned. Hope this helps, please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Emachine serial #GC58240000866 The CD tray keeps popping out. With nothing in it, or with a cd in it. Started last night. Won't stop.

First of all, you want to do an immediate virus scan. There are several virus programs that will do that very thing. A good idea would be to go into safe mode and run both a virus scan and then a spyware scan.

If you need instructions on getting to safe mode, just google it. Works fine.

Also, there are joke programs that do it. Check your start up files to see if anything looks suspicious there. Access that by typing msconfig at the run command. Then go to startup. Remember , if you make changes you will have to reboot.

Move your cursor to the upper left corner of your screen and see if that gives you a menu to get rid of it , too.

Remember something a friend once told me when you are looking for info " Google is your friend !"

I have a Emachine, when i login on everything vanishes. I tried the msconfig n admin mode but the config repeat and repeat and repeat. Then I have trouble login on.

When you boot your pc, hit F8 several times. You should see a boot option list. Fyrst try the option last known good configuration. If that doesn't work. reboot and hit F8 to get the list again but this time try safe mode. After you hit enter to try safe mode hold down both <ctrl> keys for a couple of seconds. If it boots into safe mode, try a system restore. Go to Start>programs>accessories>systrm tools>system restore. Choose a date a few days back. If any of these work, go to your command prompy. Go start>run> and type cmd. Then type chkdsk /f There's a space between the k and the slash. It will tell you it can't run right now do you wan't it run the next time you start your system? Enter y. Exit the box, then reboot. If it reboots successfully, do a complete virus scan. If this fixes your problem please rate as fixed. If not, don't rate yet. Add a commrnt and let me know what happened and I'll be glad to help you further. Thanks.

Emachine wont start, just beeps

This is probably a problem with your DIMM(RAM) Did u recently install an extra RAM?If yes then remove it because the beep sound is due to the mismatch of frequency of two DIMM's. If not open your computer and check if the DIMM is loose just push it in and powerup your comp..Let me know if its fixed..
