Sony Mhc GS100 want power up

You have a faulty amp module,I suggest you take it to a tech to have it repaired

Your stereo went into protect mode to prevent complete failure of the amplifier inside that radio. Most of the time this happens from playing the stereo real loud for a real long time and it overheats. Most of the time disconnecting the receiver/stereo and letting it cool all the way down or at least 5 minutes and then reconnecting it to the power source will reset the protection mode. You want to make sure you are keeping the radio cool. Don't stack anything on top of it and try keeping a small fan blowing on it to expedite the heat out from the unit. Also turning it down every now and then to let everything cool down a bit will help prevent it from going into protection mode as well.

Do Following...

• Turn off the System-Turn it off for a while
• Then turn it back on.
• Still Problem, Turn Off system and Check the Speaker Code
• RESET the system .
• Remove all the connections, leave it for 24hours and then connect it up again

To Reset

• Unplug Power Code
• Plug it back again
• Press Stop , Enter and Power button at Same time
• Press Power Button to Turn on it

Still have Problem The protective device on the amplifier has been activated because of short circuit. (“PROTECT” and “PUSH POWER” flash alternately.) Turn off the unit, eliminate the short-circuit problem and turn on the power again.

when it display push power,this indicate an instruction to push the power button. please do so

After installing the cd display shows the Push Power in the model of MHC-RV5

you have wires touching. did you drop anything in your radio? water, medal's?? etc..

push power protect is error signal shows problem in power amplifier board, mostly power amp out
IC STK402-100S found deceptive.
contact nearest Sony service center for proper repair.

The audio amplifier IC are damaged you need to replace him good luck

yea i have the same problem. i dont know but i think maybe the amp brd is faulty.
