No. iTunes, Rhapsody, and Amazon (and others) allow individual song and album downloads.

Individual songs can go for about $0.99 each. Some subscription services charge less for individual songs. Which is better depends on how often you want to download.

I hope this helps.

Under settings accidently set to default & it took out all of my music. how can i get my music back, restore my music?

If you have an Ipod, you are gonna need a lot of time. It will take long to sync each one seperately. If it's just an mp3 player, do this:
1.Open up your music folder and copy ALL your music. Do NOT delete it all.
2.Go to MY COMPUTER>then your mp3 device. Click paste. Your mp3 light might flash if you have one - this means it's sending it to your mp3.
3.You will get a box come up on the screen telling you it's copying the music.
4.There you go. Your music is on your mp3 again.

-sigh- if only ipods were so easy

Downloading music

Its a nightmare. Apple / Itunes make it hard for you to import their music onto any other device. itunes is not MP3 format. I am having the same problems. I will let you know if I manage to solve this and get my music onto my phone.

Music transfer

Here is what is going on. All iTunes songs are in AAC format. The Insignia Pilot cannot read thos files, and the Rhapsody music service cannot read them either. You will need to redownload all of the songs that you want in Rhapsody itself. If you do not want to pay the monthly fees, then I would not download any songs from Rhapsody - they will cease to work after your Rhapsody subscription expires.

You have a couple of options. You could buy an AAC to Mp3 Converter software - this is not free, as far as I know - you also want to be careful, because some sites that advertise these products are scam artists - they don't let you try the product before buying.

Another option is to get Limewire or Morpheus - the free versions of thse services run extremely slow and give you a lot of ads, but they allow you to download Mp3 format songs for free without monthly fees.

Mp3 players just aren't as easy as they used to be.

Music down load instructions

RCA's website has the software that you need if you lost the CD

As far as downloading songs, you can sign up for a wide number of music services - each one has a different download method, and the company website will explain how to use it. The problem with this RCA player is that it was tied to Yahoo!'s Musicmatch Jukebox svc, which was cancelled in October 2007, so you will have to find another music service. Some music services will recognize the RCA player directly, and you can use their svc to download the songs directly to your player. Other services you will have to download the songs first, and then transfer them to the RCA using Windows Media Player afterwards.

Loading music

What are you using to load music. If you have access to Windows Media Player 11 it is very simple.

First open WMP11, make sure your player is connected to the computer with the USB cable. At the top of WMP11 click Sync
the player will sync with WMP11, drag and drop music and click sync, very simple. I have a Sansa View and it is very simple, This basically works with most MP3 players.

Samsung mp3 player problems

Licenses are required when you are using subscription music (i.e. - Rhapsody monthly). They need to be updated every 30 days. Just reconnect your device to the service and it will update automatically. If you are not using these services and you have transferred music from your own cd's. The default settings for Windows Media Player are "copy protect my music" which would give you this same error. If this is the case, you need to change the setting in Windows Media Player. Tools>Options>Rip Music "Uncheck copy protect my music". You may also want to change the rip tracks as setting to MP3. Then you would need to re-rip the tracks as unprotected, then transfer the files to the device. Make sure you remove the original files, as they will still cause you problems. Best of Luck.

My T10 IRiver Browser will not work

re-format it. on player go to settings, then advanced then format. select format, say yes and it should reboot. if that doesn't work you need to upgrade the firmware. got to iriveramerica.com, support, ultra portabale support and download firmware updater software. Not a bad idea to upgrade firmware in either case. Your music will be lost when you format but you can simply re-load it from your music manager on your PC.
