Make sure that the supplied voltage matches your motor's setup. Most well pumps can either be configured to run on 120v or 220v. If your pump is set to 220v, and you are running 110v to it, it will run slower. Check that, and repost. I'll check back, and will help in any way thet I can.

My Pentair HP 900 pool heat pump runs for a little while (15-60 minutes) and then trips the breaker. Any idea why this is happening?

After 30 minutes of use, feel the outside of the breaker that is tripping. If you feel heat on the surface of the breaker it could be the breaker is going bad. Have an electrician change the breaker and have him check the load on the breaker. My guess is, if the heat pump seems to runs fine for an hour but is tripping a breaker then it is probably not the heat pump.

No power when I turn my breakers on for my 1081 pool pump

MichaelUnwire the motor and turn the breaker on.
  • Check to make sure you have power coming out of the breaker.
  • If the breaker seems to be operating normally check the voltage at the motor when the breaker is on.
  • If there is voltage going to the motor then there is going to be a problem with the motor.

Is it the correct voltage going to the motor? If perhaps this is a 120v motor and you have just sent 230v to it you have damaged the motor.

Not sure other than that starting point.

Circuit breaker trips when emergency/auxiliary heat shuts off

That is an enigma and it just makes no sense!!!!!!!!Could the switch involved be the culprit? I would check that out just to make sure. Try also checking the breaker by replacing it. Sometimes those things are guilty of crazy operation.

SHORTED THE DRYER BY TOUCHING WIRE TO BODY, THERES POWER INSIDE THE DRYER(LIGHT ON), BUT NOTHING HAPPENS WHEN SWITCH IS ON, CONTINUITYIS GOOD ON START SWITCH, WHERE DO I GO NOW

Power to the dryer is 220 volts, with half of the total voltage supplied by each of two breakers. The breakers are combined into one larger breaker, but each side of the breaker connects to a different buss bar in the breaker box. What it sounds like is that one half of your breaker is tripped, and the remedy is to trip the double breaker in order to reset the half that is tripped. If tripping the breaker off and back on does not restore the operation of the dryer, trip the breaker back off, unplug the dryer, and check for any burned wires at the terminal strip where the cord connects to the dryer. Replace any defective or burned parts.

My pool sweep had been doing fine. Now the new pump seems to be dragging as if it is running on half power and the sweep crawls slowly. The pump gets hot and shuts off. The pool filter pump on the left...

My opinion is that new pump is defective.

You posted under Intermatic pool timer.
The timer will not have any effect on the new pump overheating.

Insufficient wiring can cause new pump to overheat.
However if wiring is undersized, and/or if both pumps are turned ON at same time, the circuit breaker would get hot and trip.

Instead of the breaker tripping, your new pump is getting hot, and turning off.
Remember, any pump that slows down and overheats is getting damaged.
Replace the defective pump.

Pump trips breaker

If the seals are damaged, water will leak into motor section and cause GFI to trip and yet the pump will seem that it is running fine if plugged into a non-GFI receptacle

Heat pump trips circuit breaker

I seem to have the same problem. But when I reset the breakers, they won't stay in the on position. They go back to the off position. What gives? It is 95F inside the house.
