water filter is normally in the ceiling on the right side. Pull down the door, pull out the filter, put in new one, close door.
charcoal filter top center behind a door with slots.
vegy filter in one of the vegy drawers - usually rear, but owner sets location.

There is a generic type of water filter that fits all Whirlpool and KitchenAid refrigerators with a water filter located in the base grill below the door.

For most side by side refrigerators, the filter is in the grill at the bottom in the center (approximately) of the freezer side. Just push in on the cover over the filter (it is a circular piece).

The original part number is 4396841; cartridge T2RFWG2. The filter fits into the grill at the bottom of the refrigerator (nearly centered on the left hand side of the grill). There is a cap covering the filter.

The fridge can be used without a filter if the cap is taken off the old filter and put back into place. IF IT HAS AN AUTOMATIC ICE MAKER, IT DOES HAVE A FILTER. IT ALSO FILTERS THE DRINKING WATER. IT WILL BE LOCATED IN THE REFRIGERATOR CABINET, USUALLY AT THE TOP.

Hi, The filter is located behind the kickplate. You can see the handle for the filter in the kick plate. I believe you turn the filter handle Counter clock wise to remove it. It will tke a little bit of force. Yes this filters the water in the door.
