It's made by The Helman Group, Ltd. date code is 3504. I've tried the company site online to run into a brick wall. Do I use oil, no oil, butter, no butter, what do I put in or do first????
The usual way to use a pop corn popper is to:
1st - add oil
2nd - add popcorn
3rd - add any seasoning (if using the pre-packaged "theater" popcorn mix).
DO NOT add butter into the popper, as it will burn quickly and make for some foul tasting pop corn.
You can always add butter and salt to taste AFTER the pop corn is done popping.
Hope you find this Very Helpful. Best regards!
Found this little tidbit about the Helman popcorn makers;
Old Fashioned Kettle Popcorn Maker, modeled after the antique popcorn carts of the early 1900's. Pour popcorn kernels and oil into the cooker compartments, turn on the electric agitator and internal light, and enjoy hot, fresh, kettle-style popcorn.
