Paper jams- may jam immediately or after three or four sheets have printed with paper a little wrinkled at the top right [viewed from front] corner at best. When it jams mostly when first sheet starts from tray, the right hand corner pulls up at the top of the roller travel, starts printing the right hand corner of the paper and jams.

I have a cannon Pixma Mp495. THis morning some paper that was wrinkled went through it when it was printing. THere was not any paper left in the printer. I did pull a sheet out the top that was stuck...

I believe that you tried to turn the printer off, then on. Did you? If so, and the problem persists, I belive that the jam sensor became damaged.

In a last instance, you can turn off the printer and see if you can turn a little (with your fingers) the roller that pulls the paper.

Light is flashing on Resume on my HP Deskjet F2110 All-in-One printer scanner copier. What does that means?

Regular paper, envelopes, or specialty media may get stuck or jammed in the printer. Follow the instructions below to find and remove jammed paper (or other media) from the printer. If the HP All-in-One has a paper jam, first check the rear door. If the jammed paper is not in the rear rollers, check the front door.

Step one: Check for and remove any paper stuck in the paper In tray

  1. Remove all loose paper from the paper In tray.
  2. Press the RESUME button.
    • If the paper jam is cleared, skip to Step Four
    • If the paper is still jammed, continue on to the next step below.
  • If more than one sheet is stuck in the printer, remove the paper, one sheet at a time by taking hold of a sheet in the middle of the stack and, with both hands and firm, even pressure, pull the sheet towards you. Usually, removing one or two sheets from the middle of the stack will release the pressure and the rest of the stack can be removed.
  • After removing the paper, check to make sure no scraps of paper are stuck in the printer.
    • If the paper jam is cleared, skip to Step Four.
    • If the paper is still jammed, continue on to the next section.

  • Step two: Clearing a paper jam from the back of the printer

If the paper jam is not accessible from the In tray, follow the instructions below to clear the paper from the back of the printer.
    1. Unplug the HP All-in-One.
    2. Press in the tab on the left side of the rear door to release the door. Remove the door by pulling it away from the HP All-in-One. Figure 1: Removing the rear door

    b4334db0-9c6c-4a8d-be58-38a7346f3e8c.jpg

    1. Gently pull the paper out of the rollers. caution.png
CAUTION:If the paper tears when removing it from the rollers, check the rollers and wheels for torn pieces of paper that might be remaining inside the device. If all of the pieces of paper are not removed from the HP All-in-One, more paper jams are likely to occur.
    2. Replace the rear door. Gently push the door forward until it snaps into place.
    3. Press Cancel to continue the current job.
      • If the paper jam is cleared, skip to Step Four
      • If the paper is still jammed, continue on to the next section.

Step three: Lift the front cover and slowly remove any jammed paper

    1. Unplug the power cable.
    2. If necessary, pull the input tray down to open it. Then, lower the print cartridge door. Figure 2: Lowering the print cartridge door

    1. Gently pull the paper out of the rollers. caution.png
CAUTION:If the paper tears when while removing it from the rollers, check the rollers and wheels for torn pieces of paper that might be remaining inside the device. If all the pieces of paper are not removed from the HP All-in-One, more paper jams are likely to occur.
    2. Close the print cartridge door.
Figure 3: Closing the print cartridge door

    1. Plug the power cable into the HP All-in-One.
    2. Turn the power on.
    3. Press Start Copy Black or Start Copy Color to continue the current job.

Step four: Verify the print cartridge carriage can move freely

    1. Unplug the power cable.
    2. Check to see if the print cartridge carriage can move freely from one side of the printer to the other. If the carriage is to the right and out of plain view, skip to Step Five. Do not try to force it to move if it is hung up on something. [img src="http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf-JAVA/Image/common/note.png" alt="">
NOTE:Be careful not to force the print cartridge carriage. If the carriage is stuck, forcing it to move will damage the printer.
      • If the carriage does not move, continue with the next step below.
  • Remove the print cartridges.
  • Step five: Reload and test the printer

Once the jammed paper is removed, verify that the printer is still functioning properly.
    1. Reload the printer with plain paper.
    2. Perform a self-test by pressing and holding the Resume button until the printer starts printing. A test page should print.
    note.png
NOTE:Do not put more than 35 sheets of plain paper in the document feeder tray.
  • Gently move the print cartridge to the far right of the printer.
  • Remove the paper from the paper In tray, but do not remove the drawer.
  • Remove the rear access door.
  • With your fingers, rotate the rollers "up" three full rotations.
  • Push the rear access door back into the printer until it snaps firmly into place.
  • Replace the print cartridges.
  • Plug the power cable into the HP All-in-One.
  • Turn the power on.

  • Step six: Service the printer

Perform all the steps mentioned above. If the problem continues, service the printer.
Cause Paper jams can be caused by several factors. Follow these guidelines to prevent further paper jams.
    • Insert paper into the paper tray only until it meets resistance. Do not push it farther in.
    • Make sure that the paper is flat in the paper tray and that the guide is adjusted to the width of the paper.
    • Do not add paper while the product is printing.
    • Remove printed pages frequently.
    • Do not use paper that is too thin, too slick, or that stretches.
    • Do not use torn or creased paper. Used paper might cause jams.
    • Make sure that the rear access door is securely fastened.

When i give print command the paper was jammed in printer.

The following sections describe how to load media into the different input trays. CAUTION: If you try to print on media that is wrinkled, folded, or damaged in any way, a jam might occur. Priority feed slot The priority feed slot holds one sheet of media up to 163 g/m2 (43 lb) or one envelope, transparency, or cardstock. Load media with the top forward and the side to be printed facing up. To prevent jams and skewing, always adjust the side media guides before feeding the media. Back to top 150-sheet main input tray The input tray holds up to 150 pages of 75 g/m2 (20 lb) paper or fewer pages of heavier media of 25 mm (0.9 inches) or less stack height. Load media with the top forward and the side to be printed facing up. To prevent jams and skewing, always adjust the side and front media guides. NOTE: When you add new media, make sure that you remove all of the media from the input tray and straighten the stack of new media. This helps prevent multiple sheets of media from feeding through the printer at one time, reducing media jams.

Each time I print on plain paper the paper feeds into the machine and when it hits pinch rollers after the print head, the top right hand corner is turned over. Two pages later and the third page is so...

Follow these steps to reload paper:

    1. Flip the feeder guard forward.

    2. Remove the paper and make sure it's not curled or wrinkled.

    3. Fan the stack of paper to make sure the sheets are separated.

    4. Reload the paper against the right edge of the sheet feeder andslide the left edge guide against the other side, but not too tightly.

    5. Don't load paper above the arrow mark on the left edge guide.

    6. Make sure the printable side of the paper is facing up.

    7. Flip the feeder guard back.

    8. Once you have completed the steps above, press the cp_button_6.gif Start button.

Lexmark t640: paper jam in the back door. I can see the edge of the paper. How do I release the tension on the rollers so I can slide it out? Now it is in there tight and to grab it just tears off a piece...

    Hope this helps....
Explanation of the paper jam message

A 241.09 Paper Jam message indicates that the printer thinks a sheet of paper has jammed at the front of the printer. The jammed sheet of paper is most likely to be found in one of the paper trays or under the toner cartridge.
NOTE: If you select Show areas on the operator panel, you can view one or more images to help you locate and clear the jam.

    Clearing the jam
To resolve the paper jam message, you must first clear the entire paper path. To access the jam area, you will need to open one or more of the paper trays. Follow the steps in the table below to help you locate and clear the jam.
Step Action Image 1 Open the printer paper tray (tray 1), and remove any jammed media you find there. pattlnk_10222007_1922-enus28872_24109paperjam1_t64x_en_us.gif 2 Open the front cover and remove the toner cartridge. Examine the area inside the printer and remove any jammed media you find there. pattlnk_10242007_159-enus28872_24109paperjam5_t64x_en_us.gif 3 If you have a duplex option installed, also remove the duplex access tray and remove any jammed media you find there. pattlnk_10302007_1559-enus28860_24x17paperjamduplex_t64x_en_us.gif 4 If you were printing from an optional paper tray, such as tray 2 or tray 3, open any optional trays, starting at the top, and remove any jammed media. Pull the print media either up or down. If it does not pull easily one way, try the other way pattlnk_10222007_1957-enus28872_24109paperjam3_t64x_en_us.gif 5 If you are printing from an optional 2000-sheet feeder, open the front door. Press the elevator button (A) to lower the tray. Remove any partially fed media from the feeder.
NOTE: Make sure the stack of print media is straight and pushed all of the way into the feeder. Incorrectly loaded paper is the most common cause of paper jams from a 2000-sheet feeder option.

For a larger image, click here. 6 Finally, reinstall all of the paper trays and press the pattlnk_10222007_2117-select_button.jpg button to try printing again.
NOTE: You may receive a different paper jam message informing you that another sheet of paper is jammed elsewhere in the printer. If this occurs, the error code will indicate the location. Click here for a diagram showing the error code locations. The paper path will vary, depending on the paper source and number of paper feed options installed.
Remove any jammed sheets of paper you find and try printing again.

    Repeated paper jam in fuser

Fuser's orange roller is not meant to be wrinkled, if this is then I would recommend you replace it (just slides out) pic below
b4eead5.jpg If printing on card, you need to feed via manual bypass and exit from the back, not on the top, aka the "face up tray." Tray pulls out from rear. Rear tray will only stack a few card sheets at once.

Setting on printer's control panel must be set to card/heavy paper type on manual bypass tray

Their may still be some card in fuser causing jams.
