The dryer is telling you what is wrong with it. Count the number of flashes the drying, cooldown, pressaver and clean filter light are flashing then count the number of times the control/start light is flashing. That will give you the error code number.
I understand you are receiving an error code on your Frigidaire dryer, model# FARE1011MW. I see that when you press the start button, your dryer beeps and the drying light begins flashing. I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Sometimes there can be a miscommunication between the different boards inside your appliance. Restore power and start any cycle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.
Do you have an error code displayed ? If so what is that. If not the either the door switch is faulty or the control board. More likely to be the door switch but, strange things do happen. Here is the door switch number 134813601. If you need help installing or more info let me know.
I understand that you are having trouble with your dryer not heating and not running a full cycle and shutting off with the Drying, Cool Down, and Extended Tumble lights flashing. What I suggest is to give your appliance a hard reset. You will do this by either unplugging it or cutting the power off at the circuit breaker for 3-5 minutes. After the 3-5 minutes, bring power back and try to start a cycle. If it does not complete the cycle and shuts off with the lights flashing, I suggest to either contact the manufacturer or a local appliance technician. This way you will be able to locate the cause of this issue and have it resolved.
This has to do with the control board failure. The control board runs every aspect of the dryer and will need to be replaced. Here is the new control board.
This is just a guess in a way, as I don't have specific knowledge about your particular model, but could it be a wrinkle prevention feature? I know some dryers have a feature which will cycle the dryer on for an occasional short tumble if the regular cycle ends and the clothes have not been removed. Opening the door might be all it takes to cancel the function.
E4A = The drying time has exceeded program time for cycle.
Press Pause Cancel and SELECT buttons for 6 seconds to exit test modes.
Position cycle selector to NORMAL, temperature selector to
HIGH HEAT and touch START. Check for any
thing that would extend dry times such as: no
heat, restricted vent, blower fan blade broken
or loose, dryer installed in closetwith solid door,
or bad connection in moisture sensor bar cir
cuit or dirty bars. If dryer operates normally but
code returns, replace electronic control.
68 = One of the keys (buttons) is stuck closed (active).
Enter function testmode and perform key
(button) test to determine which button is at
fault. Carefully free the and perform the test
again. If button is free but the key struck code
still exists, replace electronic control
