My Insignia Sport will not turn off

I turned on my MP3 and connected via bluetooth to headphones. It played but all the controls froze (couldn't get to menu, fast forward, stop, turn off, etc.). I turned off the headphones and now I cannot turn off the MP3. I tried to use normal headphones and there is no music coming through. I tried to charge but still couldn't turn off.

On the back of the player there is a small black dot toward the top of the battery cover remove it to reveal a small eyeglass type screw remove it with an eyeglass repair kit or a straight razor remove the battery cover very gently there is a small wire attached to the battery at the bottom of the wire is a plastic prong with your fingernail gently pull the prong away from the player wait a few seconds and replace it press power and your player should start back up

Can't pair bluetooth headphones with Insignia Pilot MP3 player

the directions from Samsung to pair the headset was way off. You need to hold down the main button then turn on the headset. Only then will the headset go into pairing mode by maintaining a solid blue light. It took me a couple of days of troubleshooting and experimenting to realize this pairing method. I just hope that this problem is only due to my headset because I assume a lot of people who buy this headset and try out Samsung's directions will become very frustrated. I almost returned the product and I am sure many others would too.

Bluetooth/ Insignia mp3

Hi MzM1990,

You can find lots of useful product information about your Insignia MP3 player on the manufacturer's website located at: http://www.insignia-products.com.

(The actual product page for your MP3 player is located at http://www.insignia-products.com/pc-289-22-insignia-pilot-8gb-video-mp3-player-with-bluetooth-technology.aspx)

I'd recommend downloading the User's Manual. The instructions on how to connect the MP3 player to Bluetooth compatible headphones are located on pages 27-29 of the manual.

NOTE that the wireless headphones MUST be A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) compatible to use this feature. If your headphones are also AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile) compatible then you will also be able to adjust some settings of the MP3 player (such as play/pause, skip forward/backward and control the volume) wirelessly. Check the documentation on your headphones to ensure compatability.

Best regards.
Ken
