I have power to the spa, but it won't power up

Spa model 2000M7 from Balboa Instruments with a "Balboa" control panel. There is power to the interior of the spa. the fuses are good. with the power turned on there is no illumination at all on the control panel. Is there a "reset" switch of some kind that i'm missing here???? thanks for helping

Thx for your reply. As I said, there is already power to the interior box of the spa. So it is not a GFCI reset issue.

Could you be more specific about the location of the "reset" buttons you mentioned on the circut board area of my spa model.(Balboa 2000M7) I have already had the panel off inside the spa and exposed the cicut board, but I can't locate the "reset" buttons you're mentioning. Please be more specific. thx

There are at least two separate circuit breakers feeding your spa and two reset buttons. the circuit breakers are located a few feet away from the spa in an electrical box.

the reset buttons are in the mechanical space of the spa where the pump and heater are located.

How do i get my spa out of sleep mode

It would help to know what spa you have, but the most common controls out there are manufactured by Balboa Instruments. If your top-side controls only have four buttons try pressing "temp" or "set" button followed by "light" button. Once there, pressing the "light" button usually cycles through the programming. On some models the "temp" button must be pressed to confirm the selection.

My pumps will not turn on. i have a ms501s balboa master spa. i checked the pumps and they worked good. but the control panel wont turn them on. what can i do?

Is there a message code on the spaside control panel? That would be important to know. If you see no error codes, chances are that you have 'dead' buttons on the panel, especially if you have tested the pumps via an other power source.

Light keeps flashing in spa

Sounds like control panel failure or the keypad is locked/stuck.

Try hold temperature UP & DOWN together for 6 seconds.
or if you have a Balboa 7 button controls, both buttons to the left of the display screen & down temperature.

As your lights are flashing the button might be stuck in the down position.

My balboa spa says sl and isn't heating up

SLP or SL Message

If the SLP or SL Message is Alternating with the Water Temperature on the Display, the Spa is Operating in the Sleep Heating Mode.

If the SLP or SL Message is ON Solid (Not Flashing) on the Display, the Spa is Operating in the Sleep Heating Mode, but there is No current water temperature because the Spa is between Filter Cycles.

My spa pack says i do not have proper power polarity. and my control panel does not work

Make sure that both hot legs of the 240 volts AC are correct and Neutral is correct. The ground must be connected to the ground lug on the spa.
