And it beeps after use and now is displaying code F24... Service Center I use said it was a bad board and to start shopping for a new wall oven. This model was discontinued. :(
I did too!! My appliance guy told be to but it on the curb - it wasnt worth fixing and we only had it 3 years!!!
Aug 6, 2016. I have had my Thermador C302ZS since Oct 2002. Only for two years now, it has beep after use and shown F24 code. We sometimes turn off from breaker to shut it down for minutes. Then I read someone used an air compressor to blow clean the back of the touch panel and controls. I did the same, making sure all was blown clean and not touching any contacts of the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and screw it all back together. Now, after about ten uses it is Aug 24. No beep, no F24 code. Local appliance service techs are clueless, only tells me what I already know--discontinued model, try to find a replacement touch panel on eBay, buy a new one--charged $75 for the visit. Happy blowing, it was an hour of DIY, my wife and I.
Update from my posting a year ago, now is Sep 2017, over a year since I opened the back control panel and air blow it clean. No F24 code since, one year plus and counting.
Over two years later Dec 2018 since I first wrote this, the F24 code came back, so I opened the control panel again, air blew it clean. And there were dust on the connectors. I wiped the backside of the glass panel and all is well again. The screws to remove and see the panel and its circuit board are easy and I am not a very good DIY-er. My double top and bottom Thermador oven is over 16 years old.
