The freezer stopped freezing... the temp now reads 40deg (and climbing) and the fridge reads 45deg. I'm mopping up puddles on the floor.

It is possible the refrigerator has gone into defrost and stuck there. I'm not sure what features to tell you to look for but you probably have a defrost timer or something called Adaptive Defrost Control board. They are the part that most likely causes the problem. If you could send me the model number found on the door frame on most refrigerators I would help you locate the parts.. Anyway when they stop cooling like that it reminds me of a defrost timer caught in the defrost cycle and the only way to locate it and turn it clockwise may get you going until the defrost timer can be replaced. I have seen thermostats do the same thing. Thanks Sea Breeze

Why has my kenmore elite trio refrigerator started to intermittently started to chime

Hi! I am having this exact problem also. The best answer I have been able to discover is that it is related to the freezing up of the internal water tube that drains the fridge compartment into the freezer section. In addition, a pool of water freezes on the interior floor of my freezer and has to be manually chipped up and removed. I did try to unload the freezer and defrost it thoroughly, but it still happens and has to be chipped each week. I am still seeking a solution, but at least I can make the chiming stop by locking the temperature via the button on the front panel. Best wishes. If you discover a better or final soln, please post. I will do so as well.. Regards.

My Samsung RS21DPSM is not freezing, the fridge is working and the fan in the fridge is not loud. The freezer is not freezing.

Check the condenser fan in the compressor department. The fan motor is know to fail. The refrigerator and freezer temps will be cool but not cold. I would start there.

Sanyo Frost Free Fridge (Model SR 1031) very slow to cycle through freeze to defrost back to freeze cycle. The temp in Freezer compartment goes from -17 degrees to -1 degree then back to -17 as it takes in...

DO NOT TRY TO MODIFY TIMING CYCLE.you would need to completely modify printed circuit board and inbuilt computer......some freezers cycle around 6 to 8 hours.the temperature can only be checked say every 12 hours to get an average reading

Bosch fridge freezer stops working after approx 8 hours. Starts OK and freezes OK but next day it's warming up. Turn it off and back on again and it starts all over again and the problem reoccurs..

Short out the dark blue and the dark brown wires that lead into the temp control dial. Everything now works. This bipasses a dodgy thermister or something. Of course this might not solve all similar problems but it does seem a common fault.

Water pools at bottom of freezer, freezes and water leaks out

Hello, this sounds like you have a blockage in the drain tube, remove bottom shelf from fridge and remove the styrofoam..you may see ice build up...melt ice with hair dryer/heat gun...you will see a pan below evaporator...melt ice in pan...dry water up in pan with paper towel...now you should see a hole in pan that leads to drain tube...pour some hot water in pan..wait a couple minutes..mop up water and repeat this step 2-3 times....once you have done this find some flexible curatain wire or electrical wire..poke down the hole until you see the water drain..now it is clear..put back panel back and you are good to go. The reason you see water in the Freezer is because the water has been leaking into the freezer instead of running into the drain hole...Please feel free to comment again if you need any further assistance. Fridge and freezer both freezing

If your control is not turned up too high you likely have an insensitive one. In this case it needs to be replaced with a new one, not too serious.

Not Freezing

Check the door seal all the way around. We purchased one recently that was slightly dented (not noticeably and the seal was not tight.) You need to get in touch with whomever you purchased it from immediately so that it can be repaired or replaced.
