You need to run the Decalcyfying program. Push and hold the button with the symbol that looks like a tube with small dots inside. You will get the message empty tray and empty grounds. Do so, and put everything back. The message Solvent or Agent in tank will be displayed. Meassure up 700ml water in a container, put 3 Descaling tablets in the water and let it be completly desolved before you pour this into the empty watertank. It`s very important that you don`t use more liquid, this will make the program run forever. When the solvent is in the tank, push the buttoun again, and the program starts. After a while (20 minutes or so) you will be asked to empty tray/grounds again and to fill the watertank. At this point you can fill up the watertank, this will not affect the running of the program. In the end, you must empty tray/grounds again, and after this the machine is heating up and ready to use. Good luck!

i have tried this but once i press the symbol it seems not to register, just beeps at me and continues flashing the unit cal.fied notification. It doesn't offer any further instructions like empty grounds or tray.
any thoughts?
i've run water and vinegar through anyway to decalcify...but no change int he message.

It did the same thing for me but when I shut it off and then turned it on I pressed and held the rinse button before it actually showed anything on the screen and then it told me to empty trays.

You need to press the decalify button with the unit switched off. put only 700 ml of water in the tank
Change the water hardness setting to "--" and that will then allow a clean and descale to operate
