Nokia n73 front camera hardware failure

Hi Guys, when I use the front camara my nokia n73, I get the above message. hardware failure restart camera I've tried restoring the original phone settings but it hasn't made any difference. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Many thanks

Yaa. same happened with my mai camera. i restored my phone so it worked for 2 days then iit was again same problem of hardware probllem.. so i went to nokia care and they replaced they camera.. ur camera will be replaced nd if sum times they have a problem with replacing front camera so wht they do is replace they whole phone..

Hi,

Since, your cell is giving hadrware failure that means you have to get it serviced. There is a possibkility that either your front cam or IC on motherbioard has been stop functioning,,, SO get it serviced...

But I think that there could be a software corruption. So I advicesed that before getting it serviced, Update your cell software and check that whether there is a actual software or hardware problem.. Visit to the given link, to know software updation process...

Before updating dont forget to back up your phone memory including sms and contacts...

first one is software corrupted and second one is camera damaged

most probably first one is correct as the percentage is high, try after reset all option and if not done install/update your phone software.

N73 camera hardware failure restart camera

The phone has hung up because there are errors in the software. So to reset remove the battery and the memory card from the phone. Using your PC , scan the memory card for any corrupt files or media files with virus- it is possible when they are downloaded from unsafe sites. If so remove or format the card. Now replace the card and battery and switch on the phone. If the phone hangs up then it is confirmed that the software is corrupt and will need a reinstallation.

I had this same problem, just format your memory card, and the problem will be solved, but remember it will erase all your datas in your memory card, so you better have a back-up somewhere. I hope it will work for you.
