Freezing, no audio/video/red circle

Hard drive is going; or CPU is overheating; or Video card is bad:

ive got a kav60 netbook and the video and audio freezes, makes a nasty buzzing sound. i also have a problem with my mouse, it goes crazy, or sometimes doesnt respond unless i apply pressure to one side of the netbook (slightly bending). tried disconnecting the touchpad, and applying an external usb mouse, but it sometimes freezes the cursor,or the cursor does its own thing. please help

Troubleshooting Solution

1. Lift disk changer doesn't work comes message "Disk Error"
2. Lift disk changer work fine but doesn't load a DVD
3. Power light is ON but doesn't want to Power UP
4. From the beginning start DVD movie the picture distorted and freeze

You can have Microsoft send you
another repaired unit ,if its under warranty.

Or you can spend around 80.00
to have the G.P.U re-flowed to
the main board . That will fix the box.

your vc might be heating up, try to remove it agai. take the heatsink out and then put a thermal paste on it before returning it on the vc, then install it again and see if that will works.

This is loading time. Basically, you're not downloading the video information as fast as the video is playing. A simple fix is to load the video up then click the pause button until the video time line is all red instead of gray. Then hit the play button as the entire video will be downloaded and you can watch it without having to wait for it to download like that.

I hate when it happens too. :)

It is headed for the 3 red lights. Just a matter of time before the GPU solder looses contact.

you may want to check all of your coax conections and stray ground shield piece littl tiny silver mtal wire will cause that reaction or you may have a ad reciever if so if ou have the directv inurance they will replace it for no cost to you at all.
