Could be your thermostat is defect, but even more likely the compressor is not working correct. Perhaps you even lost the cooling fluid. To be sure, please move everything as quick as you can to another fridge and ask a technician to have a look.

is the fan not working in it..may be jammed up..we had an old unit that did this all the time.. the door seal was bad allowing house humidity inside and it wpuld frost up so bad the fan got stuck..we eventually bought another used unit..

lg ice beam refrigerator which has door cooling also is not cooling properly. the freezer is working there was ice accumulated in the rear corner of the freezer i defrosted but still the fridge is not cooling and there is a pool of water at the bottom most of the time. sometimes i see the fan inside the fridge is not working

if you can hear the fan still blowing but no cold air coming up to fridge section a common problem with bottom mount freezers is the door gets left open and the air ducts freeze up and the air can't blow up to the top.turn the control off in the freezer.remove the top shelf and the door,check to see if there are any screws one on each side of the slide arms,if there are remove them and lift the door up and out,with a hair dryer melt out the ice by blowing the hot air up each side of the back wall,also if the back inside wall of the freezer is covered with ice or like snow then you have a defrost problem but if there's no ice on back wall do what i said and blow the air up the sides of the back wall through the vents until no more water is seen dripping through the vent holes,then turn the freezer back on and check to see if you feel cold air blowing in through the vents in the fridge section,if you feel cold air then you're all set,if not keep blowing the hot air up the sides until it's melted out.let me know what you find,you'll know if the door was left open,ice will be on the ceiling near the light switch and sometimes on the top of the freezer door.
However if fan has quit totally then it will have to be replaced since it is responsible for cooling the upper part of the fridge

This is what has happened. Due to the door being opened for so long moisture which is naturally in the air has collected on your freezer coils. What you need to do is turn the whole thing off for at least 24 hours. Open the doors and put some towels around it to let the frost melt out.
All the air that gets cooled in your unit gets cooled by a fan that pulls air through those coils. Once the frost has melted out of them it should cool just fine.

Behind the back wall of the freezer about halfway down, probably behind the light bulb (if there is one there) there is a fan. My guess is that the fan isn't working, or is slow. To test, open the freezer door, then hold the door switch closed and listen for the fan.

This fan should be blowing air up the back of the freezer, and send some of the cold air through a vent at the top of the freezer into the fridge. The air then descends through the fridge and reenters the freezer through a vent at the bottom. If the fan is broken, or if the upper vent is somehow blocked or broken, the cold air will enter (rather than exit) the fridge side at the bottom vent. Because cold air tends to descend and warm air rises, the cold air will freeze the stuff at the bottom of the fridge, and the thermostat (at the top of the fridge) will say it is warm.

You have two vents between the freezer and fridge. The one the cold air from the freezer comes through(blown by the fan) and the other vent is a return vent back to the freezer. On a side/side they're at the top and bottom. It sounds like the bottom one may be blocked by food or frosted closed by ice.
