Try unplugging your TV while it is on. This will cause the Factory Defaults to restore. When you turn it back on every thing should work normally again

Usually spare remotes are already programmed to work with the unit already. Especially if the spare remote came with the unit. But if not and the spare remote is not meant for the same model then there is no way to program it to work for your unit. Usually the remotes of products which are the same model work interchangeably with each other.
The particular remote you have was made for LSX300-4DM, NS-DXA1, NS-DXA1-APT, IXV-6472 models which have been discontinued and the remote does not have any provision for programming new devices. But you can try using it direct if it works.
