you can check if you have a problem with your cartridge by testing it with a same or similar printer. I have a issue just like that yesterday. I thought it was a printer flex then i found out it was the ink cartridge itself. (you may let your printer checked as a second option).

After replacing ink cartridges, you generally have to perform an alignment routine. On some printers, they have an automatic alignment function, others require the printing out of one or two sheets of paper and a possible adjustment via the service section of your printer software. If this isn't done, you can have an output similar to that you describe.
