To wire a JVC KD-R690S car stereo, you will need to connect the power, ground, and accessory wires to the appropriate terminals on the back of the unit.
First, locate the power, ground, and accessory terminals on the back of the unit. These are usually labeled "Power," "Ground," and "ACC," respectively.
Connect the positive power wire (usually red or yellow) to the "Power" terminal on the back of the unit.
Connect the negative ground wire (usually black or brown) to the "Ground" terminal on the back of the unit.
Connect the accessory wire (usually blue or blue/white) to the "ACC" terminal on the back of the unit.
Make sure that all of the wires are securely connected to the appropriate terminals.
Keep in mind that the specific wire colors and terminal locations may vary depending on your vehicle and the specific model of the JVC KD-R690S car stereo. You may want to consult the owner's manual or a wiring diagram for your vehicle and the stereo to make sure that you are connecting the wires to the correct terminals.
If you are having difficulty wiring the JVC KD-R690S car stereo or if you have any other questions, you may want to consult a professional installer or JVC customer support for further assistance.
hi peter, before you start using the rest of the harness cables find out if the harness you have is a jvc original for your model. the black wire is the ground/chassis cable only for a jvc kd-r411. you mite be using a compatible fitting harness whose " wire colour configuration" is incorrect for your model. cheers.
there should be a small connector on the changer itself for the power ground and remote wire for power to the changer unit. the cord coming from the unit to the changer doesn't supply this power and this is why it wont eject and also your head unit wont recognize it until it gets powered up and able to communicate with the head unit and then it will show up as a selectable source when switching between sources of music. check the back of the changer for a small connector containing 3 or 4 pins and you should have a connector with the corresponding wires coming from it to plug into this spot after connecting the wires properly. if you bought it on ebay it is possible you didn't get this piece which is critical when connecting this changer.
