Obviously it was not dry enough. Remove the battery and use your hairdryer on it with the heat turned off. Dry up all traces of water and then insert the battery.

I had same problem. I've had my phone for 2 years and its been great until charge port went out. After extensive searches followed advise and ordered a universal cell phone battery charger from Factory Direct Cellular. $17.95 + shipping. I recieved it 7 days after order and guess what>?...it actually works!!!
Hooray! Be sure to follow instrucions on FDC site. Looks complicated, its not.
Special note: found the same charger on sale at Amazon. $5.99 plus shipping. I just ordered 2 more.
Problem solved no thanks to LG or Verizon.
really the only thing to do in this case is to let it dry COMPLETELY before putting any power to it. if you let it dry completely now it may still work but if you tried it already and it failed i doubt it. try a new battery if it wont turn on. i dropped my nokia in the toilet and let it dry for 3 days then it worked; had a buddy spill his bottle of beer on my blackberry and after the defrost and over night it worked fine.... good luck
well u did a mistake.........u should'nt turn on the phone for a day or two............but its not a big one..........takeout the battery, remove the cover n sim........let it be off for a day or two...it should work properly if still problem exists change the battery........
well i dont have any long term ansa but here is a short term one while you find a new charger.
Take the charger and dismantle the end that plugs into fone. you should have 2 wires a black & white or black & red. Leave the blobs of solder on the end of the wires as this helps. Leave the wall socket end of charger in tact.
Take your battery out of fone. As with a normal battery you will see a (+) and (-) sign on it. Attach the black or darkest wire to the negative (-) metal square on the battery and the white or lightest wire (maybe red) to the positive (+) metal square on the battery (after trial & error i found a clothes peg to be the best form of attaching it). Leave attached for 15 minutes and this will give you around an hours usage when you put the battery back in the fone. If you leave it overnight then it will be on all day.
Basically you are making the circuit without the fone which bypasses your pin problem. Any charger will work with any fone as the charging components are in the wall end. Just make sure the voltage is compatible ie, 5v fone charger replacing 5v charger etc. Although majority of chargers are 5v.
I know this works cos i did it to mine last nite as i needed to ansa my emails. Really simple but a little drastic like i said but if the pin connector is broke anyway wot you got to lose?? I am a girl so if i can do it anyone can lol!!
Only drawback is you cant use the fone while it is charging unless you have 2 batteries and you use one while the other charges which is what i am doing. In fact i might not buy a new charger lol, i dont need one now ive found this method works.
hi. may i know how many years already you use this fone? to protect ur battery, u better charge when the battery life become 1% and never on the fone during charge. and remember, dont switch on the battery charge before the battery full. if not, the battery will damage and you have to buy a new one. hope this hep you.
In my experience when getting a phone wet your only choice is to let it sit. It could take a few days or a month but soon or later they usually fire back up.
sorry to say this but a wet phone is ruined. You will have to take it to a tech at your phone server. They will either repair it or you will have to get another one. Water and phones do not go together at all. Sux.
