Unable to connect to the setup page (default ip: 192.168.10.1) using any method. Have tried resetting the router, unplugging everything but my computer, using Internet Explorer and Firefox, even pinging it. I get nothing each time.

  • Anonymous May 11, 2010

I'm assuming you already tried a different computer cable, and that you have checked carefully to make sure you are plugged into the correct ports on the device. One connection goes to your provider. One connection goes to your pc. What address is your pc using? Go to start / run and type CMD and press enter. Then type IPCONFIG and press enter. Write down the info from that. Then type PING 192.168.10.1 and press enter. Write down the results from that. This will tell us if your PC is the problem. Type EXIT and hit enter to close the cmd window.

How can I configure my router so all of my laptops can connect to the internet? Also, do I need to make any changes to my laptops configuration?

All Linksys routers have a built-in web-based setup page that allows the user to customize settings and set up advanced properties.
NOTE: Before accessing the router's web-based setup page, make sure the router is powered on and the computer is wired to one of the Ethernet ports on the router (1, 2, 3 or 4 ).

NOTE : For WRP400, the default IP address would be "192.168.15.1" and if you place the router behind a primary router with the IP address of "192.168.15.1", then the router will automatically assume a new default IP address, "192.168.16.1".
