How can I get my Yamaha RX-V383 amplifier to work with my Sony BDP-S5100 Blu-ray player?

Hi,

Please double check that you're using multiple cables from your blu ray and not just one. A coax cable can connect your bluray player to your amp and then another cable from hdmi output can connect to your projector.

If you need more help in figuring out exact cable types and detailed home-theatre setup guide, you can reach out to dolby as well by calling 415-558-0200. They do home theatre setup as well.

Thank you.

No sound thru pioneer equaliser from quatrron tv

There are two way to do this.
1. Connect all your devices individually to the Pioneer receiver. Doing this allows you so have different sound settings for each input. A reason you might want this is that your DVD will need a DTS or Dolby sound setting so that you get the best audio from your DVD, whereas your TV may only be outputting stereo audio. In this case you would set your Pioneer to a stereo setting.
2. Connect your devices to the Sharp display, then connect the audio output of the Sharp to a free audio input on the Pioneer.
Your Sharp LED TV has two ways to do this: a. If you have a digital capable Pioneer sound system, connect using the "Digital Audio Output". You will need a Toslink (Optical) cable for this connection. b. If you only have analog capabilities in your Pioneer sound system, you must use the 3.5mm (1/8 Inch) analog audio output from the Sharp TV to stereo RCA (red and white plugs that are most commonly supplied with home theatre product).

T v and home theatre sony bravia

As most home theatre systems offer no analogue audio input and only use the audio coming from the dvd being played the short answer is no.

If your home theatre system has a digital input and the tv has the corresponding output then yes you could me able to connect the two. Otherwise you could try to get hold of a analogue to digital converter and convert the tv's audio out to digital.

Please help with getting 5.1 sound from my TV!

You must run a Digital Optical cable from your PS3 to your reciever. Then press your function button on your recievers remote until you see SAT/CABLE on your recievers display. Next go to your PS3 settings and go to Sound settings, then Audio Output settings, and select Digital out (OPTICAL) then your done. This is the only way to get true digital sound from your PS3 to your reciever.
