Try reinstalling MacOS on your laptop, as far as I know, all Mac come with recovery disks. To boot of off a disk, make sure the disk is in the drive , reboot the computer, and press C while the chime is playing. You SHOULD be able to reinstall. What your describing usually happens to very old iMacs that have bad, incompatible, or no RAM installed. If none of the above works, take it to an Apple Store, they were very helpful when my iPod had a bad battery

Laptop won't reboot

are you trying to put win 10 on as it can do this some time, can take upto 10 15 min to load, when the like is flashing its dos, when the screen is black its windows it takes some time for windows to find a driver and load it so the screen comes up. i've had this on a200's before. if you keep rebooting you will need to wipe the hard drive and start again. this also does this on win 7 and 8. win xp it does not do this as its full dos setup .

Compaq Mini 110 Notebook won't start up

Hi, try starting your computer again; at the very begining, just before the DOS prompt ,or after will do. Press the F2 Button; you may be able to prompt a choice of (Start Options), if so then choose (1) Normal start, at first. Try again, using a different Start Option, if Normal start fail. Start up problem!!

When you boot up start pressing F8 and you should get a Windows startup page with more options. If you do select Safe Mode
When windows has loaded, goto MSConfig and select Diagnostic Startup. Ok and reboot
See if windows boots normally.

My powermac g4 startup problem - grey screen and folder+blinking

when booting immediately after the first chime before the grey screen hold down keys (apple, option,p,r) allow the computer to restart if it still goes to that blank screen restart again and this time hold down only the (option) key or maybe (option,s) on that model try option key first then select the main start up disk from the menu and click the arrow underneath

Video Doesn't Display

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but, Dell has had issues the with Nvidia GPU overheating and going bad. Have had to replace mine twice already on a 2 year old Inspiron. If its still under warranty send it to dell. They will replace the GPU.

My camera cannot take pictures.it comes up blank

you may need to release and renew your ipconfig,,,,copy this down:
First,,go to start, then "run" when the little screen comes up,,type in "cmd" all without quotes,,,then a dos screen should show up,,,,in the dos screen,,,,type in: "ipconfig" then you should see all the dos text info on your connection,,,,then type in "ipconfig/release" again no quotes,,,then wait,,you should see all the info fields go into zero's seperated by periods eg: 0.0.0.0.0 etc now type in "ipconfig/renew"
after doing this your internet connection should resett.
If this does not work you need to call up your ISP tech support.

Blank screen upon powering up

First try resetting the PRAM - Hold Command + Option + P + R until u hear a chime.

If that doesn't work, apply firm pressure about 1 inch below the option + command and start the iBook, it takes the iBook to turn on the screen approx. 30 seconds.
