Slow cold water flow won't go back to full flow

My Admiral Washing Machine only trickles water on the cold cycle. The hot water runs fine, after a few seconds it goes to cold and I only will get a trickel again it nevers turns back to hot for a full flow.If I turn the knob off than back on it will give me a full flow for about a 30 seconds and than slow trickle, could this be a switch sensor or a control problem? If I fill the machine up by a buckets of water everything else works. Thank you

I think the water inlet valve is nearly stopped up with sediment in the screen filter where the supply hose screws to the valve.Cut the water off at the hose and disconnect and look for the screen. The hot water usually doensn't do this because the water has time to settle everything out while it's in the hot water heater.

Rinse cycle water flows out to a trickle- regular wash cycle flows normal- water valve?

Flows out where , drain or into machine ? If into machine , Most washers have a cold rinse into machine . If your using hot fill and you get a trickle , then problem is a clogged screen at the valve or a bad water valve .

No cold rinse, only hot

Either the wires have come loose on the water valve or you have a defective water valve.Open the lid and look at the water valve. Are all wires connected?
If yes, replace the water valve.

Cold water will only trickle into washing machine

Check your water pressure if thats good check the screens on your hoses, if thst good go to the water inlet valves that allow water into your tub

Hot water just trickles in both of my Kenmore top loader washers

Try reversing hot for cold hoses and see what happens. That will test your valves, hot water pressure, etc. As far as I know, the valve screens are right where the hoses hook up.

Kenmore wash macine

its in your cold water line valve to the washer if it works good with hot water the valve are incoming line being blocked when you turn it on the pressure comes in fast then when pressure is gone water slows down so when its off the pressure builds back up it runs fast then slow

Kenmore washing machine 80 series

check for kinks in the pipe or restrictions to the flow in the pipes before it gets to the washer, if all is ok then check the filter on the outside of the water connector on the machine for dirt

if you confirm all is clear and the flow of water is not the problem before the machine, replace the cold water solenoid

Cold water will not flow into machine

either the valveis faulty or the dispenser box is blocked, remove the internal hose from the valve anf see if you have full pressure at that point if yes box is blocked. Regards Advisor
