SOURCE: my lenovo v460 (i5) seems to have a push-push sim
Hi,
Most Lenovo Computers provide Sim Slots for PC, but they are not equipped with a 3G Modem. You need to get that separately.
The description on Lenovo is 3G ready, meaning you could use it if you have additional parts installed; in this case, a Mini PCI 3g Modem
Hope this helps

The SIM card is for mobile broadband (wireless internet anywhere you have cellphone service).
Before using Mobile Broadband, you first need to choose a mobile networkoperator (such as Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, T-mobile, etc.) and make sure you are in the coverage area of the network.
After that, you also need:• To activate the Mobile Broadband service through your local mobile network operator. Youwill get a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card after activation.

Ok, I stand corrected. I never knew this technology existed. I looked at your manual and it indeed shows a sim card slot. The manual also gives instructions on how to insert it and what you have to do to make it work.
Below is a link to your manual.
