This camera is an inexpensive camera that takes great videos. But it doesn't have a dedicated shutter for taking still images.
You are going to find an increase in picture quality if you hold it very still, perhaps use a tripod, or put it on something stable to take the picture. Also, make sure the you have plenty of light for your subject when you take the picture.
There is not setting that you can change to fix this. Sorry, it's not what you wanted to hear, but don't let it stop you from rating my solution a fixya.
Look for the hole that says "DC IN" sometimes it can be covered up by a rubber piece so its not noticeable or even near the battery or under a hard covered slot.
The 151 is a great camera new to the market. All the software needed is included. To burn to DVD the video woiuld first have to be uploaded to your computer.

Results are good in BRIGHT SUN!! Under darker conditions, especilly at full resolution without a tripod, grany ! Results get worse with the zoom (lower resolution, blur from small camera shakes.
I'm having the same problem . Does this camcorder have a built in menu?
