How do I clean my flat panel tv? - Vizio SV420XV 42 in. LCD TV

Hi,
If you are a tech or know something about lcd tvs, lvds connector from main board to Tcon board needs to be cleaned. Connector and flat cables from Tcon to lcd panel are also to be cleaned. Good luck

Use distilled water and a microfiber cloth for best results. If the screen is really dirty, use a diluted household cleaner, such as 409, either sprayed or sponged on, then dry with the microfiber cloth.

You can try the special cleaning napkins for laptops, you can buy them in every electronics shop. Operate very softly avoid pressing on the TV surface. If even that doesn't help, well, it will remain like this, because of phisycally damage.

I won't do that, because you can scratch your screen. If you have a the leg stand for your tv, I would put it back on and then work.

there is a louvered air intake panel on either lower side of tv. there is 1 or 2 screws the filter is right behind that panel.. take it out and clean it with warm dishsoapy water and pat dry on a flat surface with paper towels then reinstall. your th will not come on till the panel is screwed back into place. there is a microswitch type sensor that makes sure that the screws are in place...goodday

I use clean Dr. from Wal mart it has no abrasive fluids and is for flat screen tv's and lap tops cost 3 bucks for a 9 oz spray bottle and with paper towels it leaves the screen streak free,

I just bought a 42" lg hdtv very nice but had a big spoto in the middle of the screen. I used windex wipes to clean the screen and it is good as new again!! Hope this helps!!

Only with the cleaning cloth provided....
