Disc Eject Prohibit: This feature keeps the disc from ejecting even if the eject button is pushed. The disc eject prohibit feature is engaged/disengaged by pressing the CD and Eject buttons simultaneously for more than 2 seconds.

While holding
(standby/on attenuator), press (eject) for more than
2 seconds.

This came out of the troubleshooting section of the manual. It worked for me hopefully it helps.

Hi Ms Lidia,

I think the eject mechanism has a stripped gear or a foot pad that raises the CD clamp inside is displaced so that it will not release the CD. You will have to remove the Radio from your car and open the cover, to access this area. Look for parts out of place or Gears that are damaged. If you have damged Gears, You might as well get you a new CD player. Go ahead and get your cd out physically.

Turntable will power up, all the lights come on,reads the cd but does not play. unit has to be turned off then on to eject the disc ? (hope this helps) Any ideas?

One of the buttons has got stuck, so when you press the button you want to, its not getting the message to start / stop playing. This is also why the eject won't work. Either a new button, or replacement board would make it happen for you :)
