I put 2 gb.s of ram in my toshiba satellite a55-s1063 and when i would turn it on my screen is black and it won't do anything.
1. The ram you put into your computer man not be compatible with the computer itself. You can find out what kind of memory your computer takes by doing a google search or asking a technician at your local computer store.
2. You may have put too much ram in. www.pcmemorystore.com sells as its largest ram chip for your computer a 512meg stick. This likely means that the most memory your laptop can take is 2x512meg, or 1 gig.
3. The memory may not be correctly seated. Installing memory isn't rocket science, but you have to make sure you have the chips seated properly before trying to boot your machine.
One of two things will cause this; either the memory is no good, or it is not the correct type of memory for your computer. Check your user manual to ensure that you are using the correct type of ram. If you have the correct type, and you still get the black screen, then there is something wrong with the ram itself.
