Connect your iPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one iPod synced with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked. If you can't unlock iPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs]. . . you can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod.If you want to change the primary computer that your iPod is associated with, do this:1. Restore your iPod. Warning: The restore process cannot be undone. All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data.2. My itouch has a passcode and i forgot it, when i try to type it in my itouch gets disabled, and when i try to plug it into itunes it wont go to it so i can restore it because i need the passcode

To resolve this issue, you will need to restore your iPod to factory settings This means any data (music, movies, contacts, etc.) will be erased and the iPod brought back to it's factory settings (like the day you got it).
To do this, follow the steps below:
1. Make sure your iPod is disconnected and powered off. If it's not already, hold down the power button until the "Slide to Power Off" message is displayed and swipe to turn off.
2. Connect the USB end of the data cable to your computer, do not connect the other end just yet.
3. Connect the other end of the data cable to the iPod and immediately press down & hold the "Home" button.
4. Continue to hold down "Home" button , until the iTunes logo appears and the USB connection is displayed on the iPod's screen.
5. Open iTunes (if it hasn't opened automatically) and a message stating that it has found an iPod that is in recovery mode. (If you don't get this message and the iPod just boots like normal, then the timing between connecting the iPod and holding the home button wasn't fast enough. Try again from step #1).
6. Click the "Restore" button and iTunes will automatically download and install the latest iOS version for your iPod.
The process should take about 20-45 mins, depending on your internet connection. Once complete, the iPod will reboot and your iPod will be restored to factory settings.
Since iTunes requires that all data be synced through there, if you have made any backups to your iPod, you'll be able to re-sync your information back to your iPod at this time.

My itouch will not sync with itunes anymore. a window pops up and says I need to enable my computer to sync and I don't know what to do

Syncing music manually If you prefer not to automatically sync music content to your iPod, you can set up manual syncing.
  1. Connect your iPod to your computer and open iTunes.
  2. Select iPod in the Devices section on the left side of the iTunes window. ht1351_7.jpg
  3. In the main iTunes browser window, select the Summary tab.
  4. Select the option to "Manually manage music and videos" or "Manually manage music." This will deselect the automatic sync settings for the Music, Movies, and TV Shows tabs. Automatic syncing for Podcasts, Photos, Contacts, and Games can be individually disabled by selecting those options in each of those tabs. Note: When manually managing iPod, disk use is enabled and iPod must always be manually ejected in iTunes before disconnecting it from your computer. ht1351_8.jpg
  5. Click Apply.
  6. To manually add music, audiobooks, movies or TV shows to your iPod, choose one of these categories under Library on the top-left of the iTunes window.
  7. Select and drag items you want (to choose multiple items, Command-click items on a Mac or Control-click items in Windows), then drag them onto your iPod icon under Devices.
  8. To add a playlist, select it from the left side of the iTunes window and drag it onto your iPod in the same way. ht1351_9.jpg
  9. When you are ready to disconnect your iPod, select it under Devices and click the eject icon next to it.

Apps won't sync to Ipod Touch

Not always automatic. You do need to go into the apps tab while in iTunes (looking at the highlighted iPod) and select the apps to sync. As long as the box is checked next to it and you legitimately own the app and it is iPod Touch compatible, it should work without a hitch.

How to load itune in my iphone?

iTunes does not load to your phone. iTunes is the program that syncs your music over to the iPhone. You have to download iTuens on to your computer, then sync the iPhone with the USB cable.
See this link:
Download the latest iTunes to your computer :
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Set up iTunes syncing:
  1. Connect iPhone to your computer, and open iTunes (if it doesn’t open automatically).
  2. In iTunes, select iPhone in the sidebar.
  3. Configure the sync settings in each of the settings panes.
  4. Click Apply in the lower-right corner of the screen.
By default, “Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected” is selected
Click on this link or copy and paste the complete link into your browser.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.

Syncing my itouch with itunes

Itunes can sync infinite ipods and should have no trouble, so there isnt a problem with having two ipods. Try this: turn off your ipod, hold the home button, and plug it into itunes while still holding the home button until a picture of the itunes symbol appears with a cable under it. itunes should say "ipod found in restore mode". this will get rid of any previous users' settings, and hopefully fix anything preventing itunes from syncing with your ipod.

i had the same problem. this is all the steps needed, calling apple isnt necessary.
first: press down on the top power button and on the menu button
second: keep pressing, eventually the screen to turn it off will pop out. ignore it and keep pressing.
third: the itouch will turn off completely but dont stop pressing
fourth: the apple sign will come out. you may now release.
fifth: now you should be able to connect to itunes that will restore your ipod.

your welcome.

then perform restore

Restore
  • Note: Because Restore erases all of the songs and files on iPod, make sure to back up any files you've saved on the iPod disk. All of your songs, videos, podcasts, audiobooks, and games can be loaded back to your iPod provided that you have them stored in your iTunes Library.

How to restore your iPod:
For Windows:
  • 1. Make sure you've reinstalled the latest version of iTunes.
  • 2. Open iTunes, and then connect your iPod to your computer.
  • 3. After a few moments, it will appear in the source list in iTunes.
  • 4. Select your iPod in the source list and you will see information about it appear in the Summary tab of the main iTunes windows.
  • 5. Click the Restore button. You will be prompted with one or more restore options that may prompt iTunes to automatically download of the latest iPod Software. The 4 possible restore options are:
    • Restore Option 1: Restore - Restores with same iPod Software version already on iPod.
    • Restore Option 2: Use Same Version - Restores with same iPod Software version already on iPod even though a newer version is available.
    • Restore Option 3: Use Newest Version - Restores with the latest iPod Software on your computer.
    • Restore Option 4: Restore and Update - Restores with the latest iPod Software on your computer.
  • 6. A progress bar will appear on the computer screen indicating that the first stage of the restore process has started. When this stage is completed, iTunes will instruct you to leave iPod connected to your computer to complete restore.
  • 7. During the stage 2 of the restore process, the iPod will show an Apple logo as well as a progress bar at the bottom of the display. It is critical that the iPod remains connected to the computer or iPod Power adapter during this stage. Note: The progress bar may be difficult to see since the backlight on the iPod display may be off.
  • 8. After stage 2 of the restore process is complete and the iPod is connected to the computer, the iTunes Setup Assistant window will appear asking you to name your iPod and choose your syncing preferences similar to when you connected your iPod for the first time.
